chaldeans <DAN1 -:4 > Children in whom [was] no blemish, but well


  • favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and
  • understanding science, and such as [had] ability in them to stand in
  • the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the
  • tongue of the {Chaldeans}.
  • chaldeans <DAN2 -:2 > Then the king commanded to call the magicians,
  • and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the {Chaldeans}, for to
  • show the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king.
  • chaldeans <DAN2 -:4 > Then spake the {Chaldeans} to the king in
  • Syriack, O king, live for ever: tell thy servants the dream, and we
  • will show the interpretation.
  • chaldeans <DAN2 -:5 > The king answered and said to the {Chaldeans},
  • The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the
  • dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces,
  • and your houses shall be made a dunghill.

  • said, There is not a man upon the earth that can show the king's
  • matter: therefore [there is] no king, lord, nor ruler, [that] asked
  • such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.
  • chaldeans <DAN3 -:8 > Wherefore at that time certain {Chaldeans}
  • came near, and accused the Jews.
  • chaldeans <DAN4 -:7 > Then came in the magicians, the astrologers,
  • the {Chaldeans}, and the soothsayers: and I told the dream before
  • them; but they did not make known unto me the interpretation
  • thereof.
  • chaldeans <DAN5 -:7 > The king cried aloud to bring in the
  • astrologers, the {Chaldeans}, and the soothsayers. [And] the king
  • spake, and said to the wise [men] of Babylon, Whosoever shall read
  • this writing, and show me the interpretation thereof, shall be
  • clothed with scarlet, and [have] a chain of gold about his neck, and
  • shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.

  • the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and
  • understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in
  • him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, [I say], thy
  • father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, {Chaldeans},
  • [and] soothsayers;
  • chaldeans <DAN5 -:30 > In that night was Belshazzar the king of the
  • {Chaldeans} slain.
  • chaldeans <DAN9 -:1 > In the first year of Darius the son of
  • Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the
  • realm of the {Chaldeans};
