man <DAN2 -:10 > The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said,
There is not a {man} upon the earth that can show the king's matter:
therefore [there is] no king, lord, nor ruler, [that] asked such
things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.
man <DAN2 -:25 > Then Arioch brought in Daniel before the king in
haste, and said thus unto him, I have found a {man} of the captives
of Judah, that will make known unto the king the interpretation.
man <DAN2 -:48 > Then the king made Daniel a great {man}, and gave
him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of
Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise [men] of
Babylon.
man <DAN3 -:10 > Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every {man}
that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut,
psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of music, shall fall down and
worship the golden image:
man <DAN5 -:11 > There is a {man} in thy kingdom, in whom [is] the
spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and
understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in
him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, [I say], thy
father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, [and]
soothsayers;
man <DAN6 -:7 > All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors,
and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted
together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree,
that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or {man} for thirty
days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.
man <DAN6 -:12 > Then they came near, and spake before the king
concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that
every man that shall ask [a petition] of any God or {man} within
thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of
lions? The king answered and said, The thing [is] true, according to
the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
man <DAN6 -:12 > Then they came near, and spake before the king
concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that
every {man} that shall ask [a petition] of any God or man within
thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of
lions? The king answered and said, The thing [is] true, according to
the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
man <DAN7 -:4 > The first [was] like a lion, and had eagle's wings:
I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up
from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a {man}, and a man's
heart was given to it.
man <DAN7 -:8 > I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up
among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the
first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn
[were] eyes like the eyes of {man}, and a mouth speaking great
things.
man <DAN7 -:13 > I saw in the night visions, and, behold, [one] like
the Son of {man} came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the
Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
man <DAN8 -:15 > And it came to pass, when I, [even] I Daniel, had
seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there
stood before me as the appearance of a {man}.
man <DAN8 -:16 > And I heard a man's voice between [the banks of]
Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this [{man}] to
understand the vision.
man <DAN8 -:17 > So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I
was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand,
O son of {man}: for at the time of the end [shall be] the vision.
man <DAN9 -:21 > Yea, whiles I [was] speaking in prayer, even the
{man} Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being
caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening
oblation.
man <DAN10 -:5 > Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold
a certain {man} clothed in linen, whose loins [were] girded with
fine gold of Uphaz:
man <DAN10 -:11 > And he said unto me, O Daniel, a {man} greatly
beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand
upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this
word unto me, I stood trembling.
man <DAN10 -:18 > Then there came again and touched me [one] like
the appearance of a {man}, and he strengthened me,
man <DAN10 -:19 > And said, O {man} greatly beloved, fear not: peace
[be] unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken
unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou
hast strengthened me.
man <DAN12 -:6 > And [one] said to the {man} clothed in linen, which
[was] upon the waters of the river, How long [shall it be to] the
end of these wonders?
man <DAN12 -:7 > And I heard the {man} clothed in linen, which [was]
upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his
left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that
[it shall be] for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have
accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these
[things] shall be finished.
man <REV1 -:13 > And in the midst of the seven candlesticks [one]
like unto the Son of {man}, clothed with a garment down to the foot,
and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
man <REV2 -:17 > He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit
saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat
of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the
stone a new name written, which no {man} knoweth saving he that
receiveth [it].
man <REV3 -:7 > And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia
write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that
hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no {man} shutteth; and
shutteth, and no man openeth;
man <REV3 -:7 > And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia
write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that
hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and
shutteth, and no {man} openeth;
man <REV3 -:8 > I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an
open door, and no {man} can shut it: for thou hast a little
strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
man <REV3 -:11 > Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou
hast, that no {man} take thy crown.
man <REV3 -:20 > Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any
{man} hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and
will sup with him, and he with me.
man <REV4 -:7 > And the first beast [was] like a lion, and the
second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a {man},
and the fourth beast [was] like a flying eagle.
man <REV5 -:3 > And no {man} in heaven, nor in earth, neither under
the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
man <REV5 -:4 > And I wept much, because no {man} was found worthy
to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
man <REV6 -:15 > And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and
the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every
bondman, and every free {man}, hid themselves in the dens and in the
rocks of the mountains;
man <REV7 -:9 > After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude,
which no {man} could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and
people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb,
clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
man <REV9 -:5 > And to them it was given that they should not kill
them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their
