Psalms 1

  • 1. Blessed <0835> [is] the man <0376> that walketh <01980> not
  • in the counsel <06098> of the ungodly <07563>, nor <03808>
  • standeth <05975> in the way <01870> of sinners <02400>, nor
  • <03808> sitteth <03427> in the seat <04186> of the scornful
  • <03887>.
  • 2 But his delight <02656> [is] in the law <08451> of the LORD
  • <03068>; and in his law <08451> doth he meditate <01897> day
  • <03119> and night <03915>.
  • 3 And he shall be like a tree <06086> planted <08362> by the
  • rivers <06388> of water <04325>, that bringeth <05414> forth
  • <05414> his fruit <06529> in his season <06256>; his leaf
  • <05929> also shall not wither <05034>; and whatsoever he doeth
  • <06213> shall prosper <06743>.
  • 4. The ungodly <07563> [are] not so <03651>: but [are] like the
  • chaff <04671> which <0834> the wind <07307> driveth <05086> away.
  • 5 Therefore the ungodly <07563> shall not stand <06965> in the
  • judgment <04941>, nor sinners <02400> in the congregation
  • <05712> of the righteous <06662>.
  • 6 For the LORD <03068> knoweth <03045> the way <01870> of the
  • righteous <06662>: but the way <01870> of the ungodly <07563>
  • shall perish <06>.
  • Psalms 2
  • 1. Why <04100> do the heathen <01471> rage <07283>, and the
  • people <03816> imagine <01897> a vain <07385> thing?
  • 2 The kings <04428> of the earth <0776> set <03320> themselves,
  • and the rulers <07336> take counsel <03245> together <03162>,
  • against <05921> the LORD <03068>, and against <05921> his
  • anointed <04899>, [saying],
  • 3 Let us break <05423> their bands <04147> asunder, and cast
  • <07993> away their cords <05688> from us.
  • 4 He that sitteth <03427> in the heavens <08064> shall laugh
  • <07832>: the Lord <0136> shall have them in derision <03932>.
  • 5 Then <0227> shall he speak <01696> unto them in his wrath
  • <0639>, and vex <0926> them in his sore displeasure <02740>.
  • 6 Yet have I set <05258> my king <04428> upon my holy <06944>
  • hill <02022> of Zion <06726>.
  • 7. I will declare <05608> the decree <02706>: the LORD <03068>
  • hath said <0559> unto me, Thou [art] my Son <01121>; this day
  • <03117> have I begotten <03205> thee.
  • 8 Ask <07592> of me, and I shall give <05415> [thee] the
  • heathen <01471> [for] thine inheritance <05159>, and the
  • uttermost <0657> parts of the earth <0776> [for] thy possession
  • <0272>.
  • 9 Thou shalt break <07489> them with a rod <07626> of iron
  • <01270>; thou shalt dash <05310> them in pieces like a potter's
  • <03335> vessel <03627>.
  • 10. Be wise <07919> now <06258> therefore, O ye kings <04428>:
  • be instructed <03256>, ye judges <08199> of the earth <0776>.
  • 11 Serve <05647> the LORD <03068> with fear <03374>, and
  • rejoice <01523> with trembling <07460>.
  • 12 Kiss <05401> the Son <01248>, lest <06435> he be angry
  • <0599>, and ye perish <06> [from] the way <01870>, when <03588>
  • his wrath <0639> is kindled <01197> but a little <04592>.
  • Blessed <0835> [are] all <03605> they that put their trust
  • <02620> in him.
  • Psalms 3
  • 1. A Psalm <04210> of David <01732>, when he fled <01272> from
  • <06440> Absalom <053> his son <01121>. LORD <03068>, how <04100>
  • are they increased <07231> that trouble <06862> me! many <07227>
  • [are] they that rise <06965> up against <05921> me.
  • 2 Many <07227> [there be] which say <0559> of my soul <05315>,
  • [There is] no <0369> help <03444> for him in God <0430>. Selah
  • <05542>.
  • 3 But thou, O LORD <03068>, [art] a shield <04043> for me; my
  • glory <03519>, and the lifter <07311> up of mine head <07218>.
  • 4. I cried <07121> unto the LORD <03068> with my voice <06963>,
  • and he heard <06030> me out of his holy <06944> hill <02022>.
  • Selah <05542>.
  • 5 I laid <07901> me down <07901> and slept <03462>; I awaked
  • <06974>; for the LORD <03068> sustained <05564> me.
  • 6 I will not be afraid <03372> of ten <07233> thousands
  • <07233> of people <05971>, that have set <07896> [themselves]
  • against <05921> me round <05439> about.
  • 7 Arise <06965>, O LORD <03068>; save <03467> me, O my God
  • <0430>: for thou hast smitten <05221> all <03605> mine enemies
  • <0341> [upon] the cheek <03895> bone; thou hast broken <07665>
  • the teeth <08127> of the ungodly <07563>.
  • 8 Salvation <03444> [belongeth] unto the LORD <03068>: thy
  • blessing <01293> [is] upon thy people <05971>. Selah <05542>.
  • Psalms 4
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329> on Neginoth <05058>, A Psalm
  • <04210> of David <01732>. Hear <06030> me when I call <07121>, O
  • God <0430> of my righteousness <06664>: thou hast enlarged
  • <07337> me [when I was] in distress <06862>; have mercy <02603>
  • upon me, and hear <08085> my prayer <08605>.
  • 2 O ye sons <01121> of men <0376>, how <05704> long <05704>
  • [will ye turn] my glory <03519> into shame <03639>? [how long]
  • will ye love <0157> vanity <07385>, [and] seek <01245> after
  • leasing <03577>? Selah <05542>.
  • 3 But know <03045> that the LORD <03068> hath set <06395>
  • apart <06395> him that is godly <02623> for himself: the LORD
  • <03068> will hear <08085> when I call <07121> unto him.
  • 4 Stand in awe <07264>, and sin <02398> not: commune <0559>
  • with your own heart <03824> upon your bed <04904>, and be still
  • <01826>. Selah <05542>.
  • 5 Offer <02076> the sacrifices <02077> of righteousness
  • <06664>, and put your trust <0982> in the LORD <03068>.
  • 6. [There be] many <07227> that say <0559>, Who <04310> will
  • shew <07200> us [any] good <02896>? LORD <03068>, lift <05375>
  • thou up the light <0216> of thy countenance <06440> upon us.
  • 7 Thou hast put <05414> gladness <08057> in my heart <03820>,
  • more than in the time <06256> [that] their corn <01715> and
  • their wine <08492> increased <07231>.
  • 8 I will both <03162> lay <07901> me down <07901> in peace
  • <07965>, and sleep <03462>: for thou, LORD <03068>, only <0910>
  • makest me dwell <03427> in safety <0983>.
  • Psalms 5
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329> upon Nehiloth <05155>, A Psalm
  • <04210> of David <01732>. Give ear <0238> to my words <0561>, O
  • LORD <03068>, consider <0995> my meditation <01901>.
  • 2 Hearken <07181> unto the voice <06963> of my cry <07773>, my
  • King <04428>, and my God <0430>: for unto thee will I pray
  • <06419>.
  • 3 My voice <06963> shalt thou hear <08085> in the morning
  • <01242>, O LORD <03068>; in the morning <01242> will I direct
  • <06186> [my prayer] unto thee, and will look <06822> up.
  • 4 For thou [art] not a God <0410> that hath pleasure <02655>
  • in wickedness <07562>: neither <03808> shall evil <07451> dwell
  • <01481> with thee.
  • 5 The foolish <01984> shall not stand <03320> in thy sight
  • <05869>: thou hatest <08130> all <03605> workers <06466> of
  • iniquity <0205>.
  • 6 Thou shalt destroy <06> them that speak <01696> leasing
  • <03577>: the LORD <03068> will abhor <08581> the bloody <01818>
  • and deceitful <04820> man <0376>.
  • 7. But as for me, I will come <0935> [into] thy house <01004>
  • in the multitude <07230> of thy mercy <02617>: [and] in thy fear
  • <03374> will I worship <07812> toward <0413> thy holy <06944>
  • temple <01964>.
  • 8 Lead <05148> me, O LORD <03068>, in thy righteousness
  • <06666> because <04616> of mine enemies <08324>; make thy way
  • <01870> straight <03474> before my face <06440>.
  • 9 For [there is] no <0369> faithfulness <03559> in their mouth
  • <06310>; their inward <07130> part [is] very <01942> wickedness
  • <01942>; their throat <01627> [is] an open <06605> sepulchre
  • <06913>; they flatter <02505> with their tongue <03956>.
  • 10 Destroy <0816> thou them, O God <0430>; let them fall
  • <05307> by their own counsels <04156>; cast <05080> them out in
  • the multitude <07230> of their transgressions <06588>; for they
  • have rebelled <04784> against thee.
  • 11 But let all <03605> those that put their trust <02620> in
  • thee rejoice <08055>: let them ever <05769> shout <07442> for
  • joy, because thou defendest <05526> them: let them also that
  • love <0157> thy name <08034> be joyful <05970> in thee.
  • 12 For thou, LORD <03068>, wilt bless <01288> the righteous
  • <06662>; with favour <07522> wilt thou compass <05849> him as
  • [with] a shield <06793>.
  • Psalms 6
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329> on Neginoth <05058> upon
  • Sheminith <08066>, A Psalm <04210> of David <01732>. O LORD
  • <03068>, rebuke <03198> me not in thine anger <0639>, neither
  • chasten <03256> me in thy hot <02534> displeasure <02534>.
  • 2 Have mercy <02603> upon me, O LORD <03068>; for I [am] weak
  • <0536>: O LORD <03068>, heal <07495> me; for my bones <06106>
  • are vexed <0926>.
  • 3 My soul <05315> is also sore <03966> vexed <0926>: but thou,
  • O LORD <03068>, how <05704> long <05704>?
  • 4 Return <07725>, O LORD <03068>, deliver <02502> my soul
  • <05315>: oh save <03467> me for thy mercies <02617>' sake
  • <04616>.
  • 5 For in death <04194> [there is] no <0369> remembrance
  • <02143> of thee: in the grave <07585> who <04310> shall give
  • thee thanks <03034>?
  • 6 I am weary <03021> with my groaning <0585>; all <03605> the
  • night <03915> make I my bed <04296> to swim <07811>; I water
  • <04529> my couch <06210> with my tears <01832>.
  • 7 Mine eye <05869> is consumed <06244> because of grief
  • <03708>; it waxeth old <06275> because of all <03605> mine
  • enemies <06887>.
  • 8. Depart <05493> from me, all <03605> ye workers <06466> of
  • iniquity <0205>; for the LORD <03068> hath heard <08085> the
  • voice <06963> of my weeping <01065>.
  • 9 The LORD <03068> hath heard <08085> my supplication <08467>;
  • the LORD <03068> will receive <03947> my prayer <08605>.
  • 10 Let all <03605> mine enemies <0341> be ashamed <0954> and
  • sore <03966> vexed <0926>: let them return <07725> [and] be
  • ashamed <0954> suddenly <07281>.
  • Psalms 7
  • 1. Shiggaion <07691> of David <01732>, which <0834> he sang
  • <07891> unto the LORD <03068>, concerning the words <01697> of
  • Cush <03568> the Benjamite <01121> <01145>. O LORD <03068> my
  • God <0430>, in thee do I put my trust <02620>: save <03467> me
  • from all <03605> them that persecute <07291> me, and deliver
  • <05337> me:
  • 2 Lest <06435> he tear <02963> my soul <05315> like a lion
  • <0738>, rending <06561> [it] in pieces, while [there is] none
  • <0369> to deliver <05337>.
  • 3 O LORD <03068> my God <0430>, if <0518> I have done <06213>
  • this <02063>; if <0518> there be iniquity <05766> in my hands
  • <03709>;
  • 4 If <0518> I have rewarded <01580> evil <07451> unto him that
  • was at peace <07999> with me; (yea, I have delivered <02502> him
  • that without <07387> cause <07387> is mine enemy <06887>:)
  • 5 Let the enemy <0341> persecute <07291> my soul <05315>, and
  • take <05381> [it]; yea, let him tread <07429> down my life
  • <02416> upon the earth <0776>, and lay <07931> mine honour
  • <03519> in the dust <06083>. Selah <05542>.
  • 6 Arise <06965>, O LORD <03068>, in thine anger <0639>, lift
  • <05375> up thyself because of the rage <05678> of mine enemies
  • <06887>: and awake <05782> for me [to] the judgment <04941>
  • [that] thou hast commanded <06680>.
  • 7 So shall the congregation <05712> of the people <03816>
  • compass <05437> thee about: for their sakes <05921> therefore
  • return <07725> thou on high <04791>.
  • 8 The LORD <03068> shall judge <01777> the people <05971>:
  • judge <08199> me, O LORD <03068>, according to my righteousness
  • <06664>, and according to mine integrity <08537> [that is] in me.
  • 9 Oh <04994> let the wickedness <07451> of the wicked <07563>
  • come to an end <01584>; but establish <03559> the just <06662>:
  • for the righteous <06662> God <0430> trieth <0974> the hearts
  • <03826> and reins <03629>.
  • 10. My defence <04043> [is] of God <0430>, which saveth <03467>
  • the upright <03477> in heart <03820>.
  • 11 God <0430> judgeth <08199> the righteous <06662>, and God
  • <0410> is angry <02194> [with the wicked] every <03605> day
  • <03117>.
  • 12 If <0518> he turn <07725> not, he will whet <03913> his
  • sword <02719>; he hath bent <01869> his bow <07198>, and made it
  • ready <03559>.
  • 13 He hath also prepared <03559> for him the instruments
  • <03627> of death <04194>; he ordaineth <06466> his arrows
  • <02671> against the persecutors <01814>.
  • 14 Behold <02009>, he travaileth <02254> with iniquity <0205>,
  • and hath conceived <02030> mischief <05999>, and brought <03205>
  • forth <03205> falsehood <08267>.
  • 15 He made <03738> a pit <0953>, and digged <02658> it, and is
  • fallen <05307> into the ditch <07845> [which] he made <06466>.
  • 16 His mischief <05999> shall return <07725> upon his own head
  • <07218>, and his violent <02555> dealing shall come <03381> down
  • <03381> upon his own pate <06936>.
  • 17 I will praise <03034> the LORD <03068> according to his
  • righteousness <06664>: and will sing praise to the name <08034>
  • of the LORD <03068> most <05945> high <05945>.
  • Psalms 8
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329> upon Gittith <01665>, A Psalm
  • <04210> of David <01732>. O LORD <03068> our Lord <0113>, how
  • <04100> excellent <0117> [is] thy name <08034> in all <03605>
  • the earth <0776>! who <0834> hast set <05414> thy glory <01935>
  • above <05921> the heavens <08064>.
  • 2 Out of the mouth <06310> of babes <05768> and sucklings
  • <03243> hast thou ordained <03245> strength <05797> because
  • <04616> of thine enemies <06887>, that thou mightest still
  • <07673> the enemy <0341> and the avenger <05358>.
  • 3. When <03588> I consider <07200> thy heavens <08064>, the
  • work <04639> of thy fingers <0676>, the moon <03394> and the
  • stars <03556>, which <0834> thou hast ordained <03559>;
  • 4 What <04100> is man <0582>, that thou art mindful <02142> of
  • him? and the son <01121> of man <0120>, that thou visitest
  • <06485> him?
  • 5 For thou hast made him a little <04592> lower <02637> than
  • the angels <0430>, and hast crowned <05849> him with glory
  • <03519> and honour <01926>.
  • 6 Thou madest him to have dominion <04910> over the works
  • <04639> of thy hands <03027>; thou hast put <07896> all <03605>
  • [things] under <08478> his feet <07272>:
  • 7 All <03605> sheep <06792> and oxen <0504>, yea <01571>, and
  • the beasts <0929> of the field <07704>;
  • 8 The fowl <06833> of the air <08064>, and the fish <01709> of
  • the sea <03220>, [and whatsoever] passeth <05674> through the
  • paths <0734> of the seas <03220>.
  • 9 O LORD <03068> our Lord <0113>, how <04100> excellent <0117>
  • [is] thy name <08034> in all <03605> the earth <0776>!
  • Psalms 9
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329> upon Muthlabben <04192>
  • <01121>, A Psalm <04210> of David <01732>. I will praise <03034>
  • [thee], O LORD <03068>, with my whole <03605> heart <03820>; I
  • will shew <05608> forth all <03605> thy marvellous <06381> works.
  • 2 I will be glad <08056> and rejoice <05970> in thee: I will
  • sing praise to thy name <08034>, O thou most <05945> High
  • <05945>.
  • 3 When mine enemies <0341> are turned <07725> back <0268>,
  • they shall fall <03782> and perish <06> at thy presence <06440>.
  • 4 For thou hast maintained <06213> my right <04941> and my
  • cause <01779>; thou satest <03427> in the throne <03678> judging
  • <08199> right <06664>.
  • 5 Thou hast rebuked <01605> the heathen <01471>, thou hast
  • destroyed <06> the wicked <07563>, thou hast put <04229> out
  • their name <08034> for ever <05769> and ever <05703>.
  • 6 O thou enemy <0341>, destructions <02723> are come to a
  • perpetual <05331> end <08552>: and thou hast destroyed <05428>

  • 7 But the LORD <03068> shall endure <03427> for ever <05769>:
  • he hath prepared <03559> his throne <03678> for judgment <04941>.
  • 8 And he shall judge <08199> the world <08398> in

  • <01777> to the people <03816> in uprightness <04339>.
  • 9 The LORD <03068> also will be a refuge <04869> for the

  • <06869>.
  • 10 And they that know <03045> thy name <08034> will put their

  • <05800> them that seek <01875> thee.
  • 11. Sing praises to the LORD <03068>, which dwelleth <03427> in

  • 12 When <03588> he maketh inquisition <01875> for blood

  • 13 Have mercy <02603> upon me, O LORD <03068>; consider

  • <08130> me, thou that liftest <07311> me up from the gates
  • <08179> of death <04194>:
  • 14 That I may shew <05608> forth all <03605> thy praise
  • <08416> in the gates <08179> of the daughter <01323> of Zion
  • <06726>: I will rejoice <01523> in thy salvation <03444>.

  • 19 Arise <06965>, O LORD <03068>; let not man <0582> prevail
  • <05810>: let the heathen <01471> be judged <08199> in thy sight
  • <06440>.
  • 20 Put <07896> them in fear <04172>, O LORD <03068>: [that]

  • Psalms 10
  • 1. Why <04100> standest <05975> thou afar <07350> off, O LORD
  • <03068>? [why] hidest <05956> thou [thyself] in times <06256> of

  • 2 The wicked <07563> in [his] pride <01346> doth persecute

  • <0430> [is] not in all <03605> his thoughts <04209>.
  • 5 His ways <01870> are always grievous <02342>; thy judgments
  • <04941> [are] far <05048> above <04791> out of his sight <05048>:
  • [as for] all <03605> his enemies <06887>, he puffeth <06315> at

  • 6 He hath said <0559> in his heart <03820>, I shall not be

  • 13 Wherefore doth the wicked <07563> contemn <05006> God

  • 14 Thou hast seen <07200> [it]; for thou beholdest <05027>
  • mischief <05999> and spite <03708>, to requite <05414> [it] with
  • thy hand <03027>: the poor <02489> committeth <05800> himself
  • unto thee; thou art the helper <05826> of the fatherless <03490>.
  • 15 Break <07665> thou the arm <02220> of the wicked <07563>
  • and the evil <07451> [man]: seek <01875> out his wickedness
  • <07562> [till] thou find <04672> none <01077>.
  • 16 The LORD <03068> [is] King <04428> for ever <05769> and

  • land <0776>.
  • 17 LORD <03068>, thou hast heard <08085> the desire <08378> of
  • the humble <06041>: thou wilt prepare <03559> their heart
  • <03820>, thou wilt cause thine ear <0241> to hear <07181>:
  • 18 To judge <08199> the fatherless <03490> and the oppressed
  • <01790>, that the man <0582> of the earth <0776> may no <01077>

  • Psalms 11
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329>, [A Psalm] of David <01732>.
  • In the LORD <03068> put I my trust <02620>: how <0349> say

  • his soul <05315> hateth <08130>.
  • 6 Upon the wicked <07563> he shall rain <04305> snares <06341>,

  • 7 For the righteous <06662> LORD <03068> loveth <0157>

  • Psalms 12
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329> upon <05921> Sheminith <08067>,
  • A Psalm <04210> of David <01732>. Help <03467>, LORD <03068>;

  • 3 Consider <05027> [and] hear <06030> me, O LORD <03068> my

  • 2 The LORD <03068> looked <08559> down <03381> from heaven

  • 3 They are all <03605> gone <05493> aside <05493>, they are

  • 1. A Prayer <08605> of David <01732>. Hear <08085> the right

  • 2 Let my sentence <04941> come <03318> forth <03318> from thy

  • 3 Thou hast proved <0974> mine heart <03820>; thou hast
  • visited <06485> [me] in the night <03915>; thou hast tried
  • <06884> me, [and] shalt find <04672> nothing; I am purposed

  • with their mouth <06310> they speak <01696> proudly <01348>.
  • 11 They have now <06258> compassed <05437> us in our steps
  • <0838>: they have set <07896> their eyes <05869> bowing <05186>
  • down <05186> to the earth <0776>;
  • 12 Like <01825> as a lion <0738> [that] is greedy <03700> of

  • lurking <03427> in secret <04565> places.
  • 13 Arise <06965>, O LORD <03068>, disappoint <06923> him, cast
  • <03766> him down <03766>: deliver <06403> my soul <05315> from
  • the wicked <07563>, [which is] thy sword <02719>:
  • 14 From men <04962> [which are] thy hand <03027>, O LORD
  • <03068>, from men <04962> of the world <02465>, [which have]

  • <0990> thou fillest <04390> with thy hid <06845> [treasure]:

  • 15 As for me, I will behold <02372> thy face <06440> in

  • Psalms 18
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329>, [A Psalm] of David <01732>,
  • the servant <05650> of the LORD <03068>, who <0834> spake
  • <01696> unto the LORD <03068> the words <01697> of this <02088>
  • song <07892> in the day <03117> [that] the LORD <03068>
  • delivered <05337> him from the hand of all <03605> his enemies
  • <0341>, and from the hand <03027> of Saul <07586>: And he said
  • <0559>, I will love <07355> thee, O LORD <03068>, my strength
  • <02391>.
  • 2 The LORD <03068> [is] my rock <05553>, and my fortress
  • <04686>, and my deliverer <06403>; my God <0410>, my strength
  • <06697>, in whom I will trust <02620>; my buckler <04043>, and
  • the horn <07161> of my salvation <03468>, [and] my high <04869>
  • tower <04869>.
  • 3 I will call <07121> upon the LORD <03068>, [who is worthy]
  • to be praised <01984>: so shall I be saved <03467> from mine
  • enemies <0341>.
  • 4 The sorrows <02256> of death <04194> compassed <0661> me,
  • and the floods <05158> of ungodly <01100> men made me afraid
  • <01204>.
  • 5 The sorrows <02256> of hell <07585> compassed <05437> me
  • about: the snares <04170> of death <04194> prevented <06923> me.
  • 6 In my distress <06862> I called <07121> upon the LORD
  • <03068>, and cried <07768> unto my God <0430>: he heard <08085>
  • my voice <06963> out of his temple <01964>, and my cry <07775>
  • came <0935> before <06440> him, [even] into his ears <0241>.
  • 7 Then the earth <0776> shook <01607> and trembled <07493>;
  • the foundations <04146> also of the hills <02022> moved <07264>
  • and were shaken <01607>, because <03588> he was wroth <02734>.
  • 8 There went <05927> up a smoke <06227> out of his nostrils
  • <0639>, and fire <0784> out of his mouth <06310> devoured <0398>:
  • coals <01513> were kindled <01197> by it.
  • 9 He bowed <05186> the heavens <08064> also, and came <03381>
  • down <03381>: and darkness <06205> [was] under <08478> his feet
  • <07272>.
  • 10 And he rode <07392> upon a cherub <03742>, and did fly
  • <05774>: yea, he did fly <01675> upon the wings <03671> of the
  • wind <07307>.
  • 11 He made <07896> darkness <02822> his secret <05643> place;
  • his pavilion <05521> round <05439> about him [were] dark <02824>
  • waters <04325> [and] thick clouds <05645> of the skies <07834>.
  • 12 At the brightness <05051> [that was] before <05048> him his
  • thick clouds <05645> passed <05674>, hail <01259> [stones] and
  • coals <01513> of fire <0784>.
  • 13 The LORD <03068> also thundered <07481> in the heavens
  • <08064>, and the Highest <05945> gave <05414> his voice <06963>;
  • hail <01259> [stones] and coals <01513> of fire <0784>.
  • 14 Yea, he sent <07971> out his arrows <02671>, and scattered
  • <06327> them; and he shot <07232> out lightnings <01300>, and
  • discomfited <01949> them.
  • 15 Then the channels <0650> of waters <04325> were seen
  • <07200>, and the foundations <04146> of the world <08398> were
  • discovered <01540> at thy rebuke <01606>, O LORD <03068>, at the
  • blast <05397> of the breath <07307> of thy nostrils <0639>.
  • 16 He sent <07971> from above <04791>, he took <03947> me, he
  • drew <04871> me out of many <07227> waters <04325>.
  • 17 He delivered <05337> me from my strong <05794> enemy <0341>,
  • and from them which hated <08130> me: for they were too strong
  • <0553> for me.
  • 18 They prevented <06923> me in the day <03117> of my calamity
  • <0343>: but the LORD <03068> was my stay <04937>.
  • 19 He brought <03318> me forth <03318> also into a large
  • <04800> place <04800>; he delivered <02502> me, because <03588>
  • he delighted <02654> in me.
  • 20. The LORD <03068> rewarded <01580> me according to my
  • righteousness <06664>; according to the cleanness <01252> of my
  • hands <03027> hath he recompensed <07725> me.
  • 21 For I have kept <08104> the ways <01870> of the LORD
  • <03068>, and have not wickedly <07561> departed from my God
  • <0430>.
  • 22 For all <03605> his judgments <04941> [were] before <05048>
  • me, and I did not put <05493> away <05493> his statutes <02708>
  • from me.
  • 23 I was also upright <08549> before <05973> him, and I kept
  • <08104> myself from mine iniquity <05771>.
  • 24 Therefore hath the LORD <03068> recompensed <07725> me
  • according to my righteousness <06664>, according to the
  • cleanness <01252> of my hands <03027> in his eyesight <05869>.
  • 25 With the merciful <02623> thou wilt shew thyself merciful
  • <02616>; with an upright <08549> man <01397> thou wilt shew
  • thyself upright;
  • 26 With the pure <02889> thou wilt shew thyself pure <01305>;
  • and with the froward <06141> thou wilt shew thyself froward
  • <06617>.
  • 27 For thou wilt save <03467> the afflicted <06041> people
  • <05971>; but wilt bring <08213> down <08213> high <07311> looks
  • <05869>.
  • 28 For thou wilt light <0215> my candle <05216>: the LORD
  • <03068> my God <0430> will enlighten <05050> my darkness <02822>.
  • 29. For by thee I have run <07323> through a troop <01416>; and
  • by my God <0430> have I leaped <01801> over a wall <07791>.
  • 30 [As for] God <0410>, his way <01870> [is] perfect <08549>:
  • the word <0565> of the LORD <03068> is tried <06884>: he [is] a
  • buckler <04043> to all <03605> those that trust <02620> in him.
  • 31 For who <04310> [is] God <0433> save <01107> the LORD
  • <03068>? or <0176> who <04310> [is] a rock <06697> save <02108>
  • our God <0430>?
  • 32 [It is] God <0410> that girdeth <0247> me with strength
  • <02428>, and maketh <05414> my way <01870> perfect <08549>.
  • 33 He maketh <07737> my feet <07272> like hinds <0355>' [feet
  • <07272>], and setteth <05975> me upon my high <01116> places.
  • 34 He teacheth <03925> my hands <03027> to war <04421>, so
  • that a bow <07198> of steel <05154> is broken <05181> by mine
  • arms <02220>.
  • 35 Thou hast also given <05414> me the shield <04043> of thy
  • salvation <03468>: and thy right <03225> hand <03225> hath
  • holden <05582> me up, and thy gentleness <06038> hath made me
  • great <07235>.
  • 36 Thou hast enlarged <07337> my steps <06806> under <08478>
  • me, that my feet <07166> did not slip <04571>.
  • 37 I have pursued <07291> mine enemies <0341>, and overtaken
  • <05381> them: neither <03808> did I turn <07725> again <07725>
  • till <05704> they were consumed <03615>.
  • 38 I have wounded <04272> them that they were not able <03201>
  • to rise <06965>: they are fallen <05307> under <08478> my feet
  • <07272>.
  • 39 For thou hast girded <0247> me with strength <02428> unto
  • the battle <04421>: thou hast subdued <03766> under <08478> me
  • those that rose <06965> up against me.
  • 40 Thou hast also given <05414> me the necks <06203> of mine
  • enemies <0341>; that I might destroy <06789> them that hate
  • <08130> me.
  • 41 They cried <07768>, but [there was] none <0369> to save
  • <03467> [them: even] unto the LORD <03068>, but he answered
  • <06030> them not.
  • 42 Then did I beat <07833> them small as the dust <06083>
  • before the wind <07307>: I did cast <07324> them out as the dirt
  • <02916> in the streets <02351>.
  • 43 Thou hast delivered <06403> me from the strivings <07379>
  • of the people <05971>; [and] thou hast made <07760> me the head
  • <07218> of the heathen <01471>: a people <05971> [whom] I have
  • not known <03045> shall serve <05647> me.
  • 44 As soon as they hear <08085> of me, they shall obey <08085>
  • me: the strangers shall submit <03584> themselves unto me.
  • 45 The strangers shall fade <05034> away, and be afraid
  • <02727> out of their close <04526> places.
  • 46 The LORD <03068> liveth <02416>; and blessed <01288> [be]
  • my rock <06697>; and let the God <0430> of my salvation <03468>
  • be exalted <07311>.
  • 47 [It is] God <0410> that avengeth me, and subdueth <01696>
  • the people <05971> under <08478> me.
  • 48 He delivereth <06403> me from mine enemies <0341>: yea
  • <0637>, thou liftest <07311> me up above those that rise <06965>
  • up against me: thou hast delivered <05337> me from the violent
  • <02555> man <0376>.
  • 49 Therefore will I give thanks <03034> unto thee, O LORD
  • <03068>, among the heathen <01471>, and sing praises unto thy
  • name <08034>.
  • 50 Great <01431> deliverance <03444> giveth he to his king
  • <04428>; and sheweth <06213> mercy <02617> to his anointed
  • <04899>, to David <01732>, and to his seed <02233> for evermore
  • <05769>.
  • Psalms 19
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329>, A Psalm <04210> of David
  • <01732>. The heavens <08064> declare <05608> the glory <03519>

  • 2 Day <03117> unto day <03117> uttereth <05042> speech <0562>,
  • and night <03915> unto night <03915> sheweth <02331> knowledge
  • <01847>.
  • 3 [There is] no <0369> speech <0562> nor <0369> language
  • <01697>, [where] their voice <06963> is not heard <08085>.
  • 4 Their line <06957> is gone <03318> out through all <03605>
  • the earth <0776>, and their words <04405> to the end <07097> of

  • <0168> for the sun <08121>,
  • 5 Which [is] as a bridegroom <02860> coming <03318> out of his

  • to run <07323> a race <0734>.
  • 6 His going <04161> forth <04161> [is] from the end <07097> of

  • 7. The law <08451> of the LORD <03068> [is] perfect <08549>,
  • converting <07725> the soul <05315>: the testimony <05715> of

  • 8 The statutes <06490> of the LORD <03068> [are] right <03477>,

  • the LORD <03068> [is] pure <01249>, enlightening <0215> the eyes
  • <05869>.
  • 9 The fear <03374> of the LORD <03068> [is] clean <02889>,
  • enduring <05975> for ever <05703>: the judgments <04941> of the
  • LORD <03068> [are] true <0571> [and] righteous <06663>

  • 10 More to be desired <02530> [are they] than gold <02091>,
  • yea, than much <07227> fine gold <06337>: sweeter <04966> also
  • than honey <01706> and the honeycomb.
  • 11 Moreover <01571> by them is thy servant <05650> warned
  • <02094>: [and] in keeping <08104> of them [there is] great
  • <07227> reward <06118>.
  • 12 Who <04310> can understand <0995> [his] errors <07691>?
  • cleanse <05352> thou me from secret <05641> [faults].
  • 13 Keep <02820> back <02820> thy servant <05650> also <01571>
  • from presumptuous <02086> [sins]; let them not have dominion

  • shall be innocent <05352> from the great <07227> transgression
  • <06588>.
  • 14 Let the words <0561> of my mouth <06310>, and the
  • meditation <01902> of my heart <03820>, be acceptable <07522> in

  • 3 Remember <02142> all <03605> thy offerings <04503>, and

  • 4 Grant <05414> thee according to thine own heart <03824>, and

  • 10 Their fruit <06529> shalt thou destroy <06> from the earth

  • words <01697> of my roaring <07581>?
  • 2 O my God <0430>, I cry <07121> in the daytime <03119>, but
  • thou hearest <06030> not; and in the night <03915> season, and
  • am not silent <01947>.
  • 3 But thou [art] holy <06918>, [O thou] that inhabitest
  • <03427> the praises <08416> of Israel <03478>.
  • 4 Our fathers <01> trusted <0982> in thee: they trusted <0982>,
  • and thou didst deliver <06403> them.
  • 5 They cried <02199> unto thee, and were delivered <04422>:
  • they trusted <0982> in thee, and were not confounded <0954>.
  • 6 But I [am] a worm <08438>, and no <03808> man <0376>; a
  • reproach <02781> of men <0120>, and despised <0959> of the
  • people <05971>.
  • 7 All <03605> they that see <07200> me laugh <03932> me to
  • scorn: they shoot <06362> out the lip <08193>, they shake
  • <05128> the head <07218>, [saying],
  • 8 He trusted <01556> on <0413> the LORD <03068> [that] he
  • would deliver <06403> him: let him deliver <05337> him, seeing
  • he delighted <02654> in him.
  • 9 But thou [art] he that took <01518> me out of the womb
  • <0990>: thou didst make me hope <0982> [when I was] upon my
  • mother's <0517> breasts <07699>.
  • 10 I was cast <07993> upon thee from the womb <07358>: thou
  • [art] my God <0410> from my mother's <0517> belly <0990>.
  • 11. Be not far <07368> from me; for trouble <06869> [is] near
  • <07138>; for [there is] none <0369> to help <05826>.
  • 12 Many <07227> bulls <06499> have compassed <05437> me:
  • strong <047> [bulls] of Bashan <01316> have beset <03803> me
  • round <03803>.
  • 13 They gaped <06475> upon me [with] their mouths <06310>,
  • [as] a ravening <02963> and a roaring <07580> lion <0738>.
  • 14 I am poured <08210> out like water <04325>, and all <03605>
  • my bones <06106> are out of joint <06504>: my heart <03820> is
  • like wax <01749>; it is melted <04549> in the midst <08432> of
  • my bowels <04578>.
  • 15 My strength <03581> is dried <03001> up like a potsherd
  • <02789>; and my tongue <03956> cleaveth <01692> to my jaws
  • <04455>; and thou hast brought <08239> me into the dust <06083>
  • of death <04194>.
  • 16 For dogs <03611> have compassed <05437> me: the assembly
  • <05712> of the wicked <07489> have inclosed <05362> me: they
  • pierced <0738> my hands <03027> and my feet <07272>.
  • 17 I may tell <05608> all <03605> my bones <06106>: they look
  • <05027> [and] stare <07200> upon me.
  • 18 They part <02505> my garments <0899> among them, and cast
  • <05307> lots <01486> upon my vesture <03830>.
  • 19 But be not thou far <07368> from me, O LORD <03068>: O my
  • strength <0360>, haste <02363> thee to help <05833> me.
  • 20 Deliver <05337> my soul <05315> from the sword <02719>; my
  • darling <03173> from the power <03027> of the dog <03611>.
  • 21 Save <03467> me from the lion's <0738> mouth <06310>: for
  • thou hast heard <06030> me from the horns <07161> of the
  • unicorns <07214>.
  • 22. I will declare <05608> thy name <08034> unto my brethren
  • <0251>: in the midst <08432> of the congregation <06951> will I
  • praise <01984> thee.
  • 23 Ye that fear <03373> the LORD <03068>, praise <01984> him;
  • all <03605> ye the seed <02233> of Jacob <03290>, glorify
  • <03513> him; and fear <01481> him, all <03605> ye the seed
  • <02233> of Israel <03478>.
  • 24 For he hath not despised <0959> nor <03808> abhorred
  • <08262> the affliction <06039> of the afflicted <06041>; neither
  • <03808> hath he hid <05641> his face <06440> from him; but when
  • he cried <07768> unto him, he heard <08085>.
  • 25 My praise <08416> [shall be] of thee in the great <07227>
  • congregation <06951>: I will pay <07999> my vows <05088> before
  • <06440> them that fear <03373> him.
  • 26 The meek <06035> shall eat <0398> and be satisfied <07646>:
  • they shall praise <01984> the LORD <03068> that seek <01875> him:
  • your heart <03824> shall live <02421> for ever <05703>.
  • 27 All <03605> the ends <0657> of the world <0776> shall
  • remember <02142> and turn <07725> unto the LORD <03068>: and all
  • <03605> the kindreds <04940> of the nations <01471> shall
  • worship <07812> before <06440> thee.
  • 28 For the kingdom <04410> [is] the LORD'S <03068>: and he
  • [is] the governor <04910> among the nations <01471>.
  • 29 All <03605> [they that be] fat <01879> upon earth <0776>
  • shall eat <0398> and worship <07812>: all <03605> they that go
  • <03381> down <03381> to the dust <06083> shall bow <03766>
  • before <06440> him: and none <03808> can keep alive <02421> his
  • own soul <05315>.
  • 30 A seed <02233> shall serve <05647> him; it shall be
  • accounted <05608> to the Lord <0136> for a generation <01755>.
  • 31 They shall come <0935>, and shall declare <05046> his
  • righteousness <06666> unto a people <05971> that shall be born
  • <03205>, that he hath done <06213> [this].
  • Psalms 23
  • 1. A Psalm <04210> of David <01732>. The LORD <03068> [is] my
  • shepherd <07462>; I shall not want <02637>.
  • 2 He maketh me to lie <07257> down <07257> in green <01877>
  • pastures <04999>: he leadeth <05095> me beside <05921> the still
  • <04496> waters <04325>.
  • 3 He restoreth <07725> my soul <05315>: he leadeth <05090> me
  • in the paths <04570> of righteousness <06664> for his name's
  • <08034> sake <04616>.
  • 4 Yea <01571>, though <03588> I walk <03212> through the
  • valley <01516> of the shadow <06757> of death <06757>, I will
  • fear <03372> no <03808> evil <07451>: for thou [art] with me;
  • thy rod <07626> and thy staff <04938> they comfort <05162> me.
  • 5 Thou preparest <06186> a table <07979> before <06440> me in
  • the presence <05048> of mine enemies <06887>: thou anointest
  • <01878> my head <07218> with oil <08081>; my cup <03563> runneth
  • <07310> over.
  • 6 Surely <0389> goodness <02896> and mercy <02617> shall
  • follow <07291> me all <03605> the days <03117> of my life
  • <02416>: and I will dwell <03427> in the house <01004> of the
  • LORD <03068> for ever.
  • Psalms 24
  • 1. A Psalm <04210> of David <01732>. The earth <0776> [is] the
  • LORD'S <03068>, and the fulness <04393> thereof; the world
  • <08398>, and they that dwell <03427> therein.
  • 2 For he hath founded <03245> it upon the seas <03220>, and
  • established <03559> it upon the floods <05104>.
  • 3. Who <04310> shall ascend <05927> into the hill <02022> of
  • the LORD <03068>? or who <04310> shall stand <06965> in his holy
  • <06944> place <04725>?
  • 4 He that hath clean <05355> hands <03709>, and a pure <01249>
  • heart <03824>; who <0834> hath not lifted <05375> up his soul
  • <05315> unto vanity <07723>, nor <03808> sworn <07650>
  • deceitfully <04820>.
  • 5 He shall receive <05375> the blessing <01293> from the LORD
  • <03068>, and righteousness <06666> from the God <0430> of his
  • salvation <03468>.
  • 6 This <02088> [is] the generation <01755> of them that seek
  • <01875> him, that seek <01245> thy face <06440>, O Jacob <03290>.
  • Selah <05542>.
  • 7. Lift <05375> up your heads <07218>, O ye gates <08179>; and
  • be ye lift <05375> up, ye everlasting <05769> doors <06607>; and
  • the King <04428> of glory <03519> shall come <0935> in.
  • 8 Who <04310> [is] this <02088> King <04428> of glory <03519>?
  • The LORD <03068> strong <05808> and mighty <01368>, the LORD
  • <03068> mighty <01368> in battle <04421>.
  • 9 Lift <05375> up your heads <07218>, O ye gates <08179>; even
  • lift <05375> [them] up, ye everlasting <05769> doors <06607>;
  • and the King <04428> of glory <03519> shall come <0935> in.
  • 10 Who <04310> is this <02088> King <04428> of glory <03519>?
  • The LORD <03068> of hosts <06635>, he [is] the King <04428> of
  • glory <03519>. Selah <05542>.
  • Psalms 25
  • 1. [A Psalm] of David <01732>. Unto thee, O LORD <03068>, do I
  • lift <05375> up my soul <05315>.
  • 2 O my God <0430>, I trust <0982> in thee: let me not be
  • ashamed <0954>, let not mine enemies <0341> triumph <05970> over
  • me.
  • 3 Yea <01571>, let none <03808> that wait <06960> on thee be
  • ashamed <0954>: let them be ashamed <0954> which transgress
  • <0898> without <07387> cause <07387>.
  • 4 Shew <03045> me thy ways <01870>, O LORD <03068>; teach
  • <03925> me thy paths <0734>.
  • 5 Lead <01869> me in thy truth <0571>, and teach <03925> me:
  • for thou [art] the God <0430> of my salvation <03468>; on thee
  • do I wait <06960> all <03605> the day <03117>.
  • 6 Remember <02142>, O LORD <03068>, thy tender mercies <07356>
  • and thy lovingkindnesses <02617>; for they [have been] ever of
  • old <05769>.
  • 7 Remember <02142> not the sins <02403> of my youth <05271>,
  • nor my transgressions <06588>: according to thy mercy <02617>
  • remember <02142> thou me for thy goodness <02898>' sake <04616>,
  • O LORD <03068>.
  • 8. Good <02896> and upright <03477> [is] the LORD <03068>:
  • therefore will he teach <03384> sinners <02400> in the way
  • <01870>.
  • 9 The meek <06035> will he guide <01869> in judgment <04941>:
  • and the meek <06035> will he teach <03925> his way <01870>.
  • 10 All <03605> the paths <0734> of the LORD <03068> [are]
  • mercy <02617> and truth <0571> unto such as keep <05341> his
  • covenant <01285> and his testimonies <05713>.
  • 11 For thy name's <08034> sake <04616>, O LORD <03068>, pardon
  • <05545> mine iniquity <05771>; for it [is] great <07227>.
  • 12 What <04310> man <0376> [is] he that feareth <03373> the
  • LORD <03068>? him shall he teach <03384> in the way <01870>
  • [that] he shall choose <0977>.
  • 13 His soul <05315> shall dwell <03885> at ease <02896>; and

  • 14 The secret <05475> of the LORD <03068> [is] with them that
  • fear <03373> him; and he will shew <03045> them his covenant
  • <01285>.
  • 15. Mine eyes <05869> [are] ever <08548> toward <0413> the LORD
  • <03068>; for he shall pluck <03318> my feet <07272> out of the
  • net <07568>.
  • 16 Turn <06437> thee unto me, and have mercy <02603> upon me;
  • for I [am] desolate <03173> and afflicted <06041>.
  • 17 The troubles <06869> of my heart <03824> are enlarged
  • <07337>: [O] bring <03318> thou me out of my distresses <04691>.
  • 18 Look <07200> upon mine affliction <06040> and my pain
  • <05999>; and forgive <05375> all <03605> my sins <02403>.
  • 19 Consider <07200> mine enemies <0341>; for they are many
  • <07231>; and they hate <08130> me with cruel <02555> hatred
  • <08135>.
  • 20 O keep <08104> my soul <05315>, and deliver <05337> me: let
  • me not be ashamed <0954>; for I put my trust <02620> in thee.
  • 21 Let integrity <08537> and uprightness <03476> preserve
  • <05341> me; for I wait <06960> on thee.
  • 22 Redeem <06299> Israel <03478>, O God <0430>, out of all
  • <03605> his troubles <06869>.
  • Psalms 26
  • 1. [A Psalm] of David <01732>. Judge <08199> me, O LORD <03068>;
  • for I have walked <01980> in mine integrity <08537>: I have
  • trusted <0982> also in the LORD <03068>; [therefore] I shall not
  • slide <04571>.
  • 2 Examine <0974> me, O LORD <03068>, and prove <05254> me; try
  • <06884> my reins <03629> and my heart <03820>.
  • 3 For thy lovingkindness <02617> [is] before <05048> mine eyes
  • <05869>: and I have walked <01980> in thy truth <0571>.
  • 4 I have not sat <03427> with vain <07723> persons <04962>,
  • neither <03808> will I go <0935> in with dissemblers <05956>.
  • 5 I have hated <08130> the congregation <06951> of evil
  • <07489> doers <07489>; and will not <03808> sit <03427> with the
  • wicked <07563>.
  • 6. I will wash <07364> mine hands <03709> in innocency <05356>:
  • so will I compass <05437> thine altar <04196>, O LORD <03068>:
  • 7 That I may publish <08085> with the voice <06963> of
  • thanksgiving <03034>, and tell <05608> of all <03605> thy
  • wondrous <06381> works.
  • 8 LORD <03068>, I have loved <0157> the habitation <04583> of

  • <03519> dwelleth <04908>.
  • 9 Gather <0622> not my soul <05315> with sinners <02400>, nor
  • my life <02416> with bloody <01818> men <0582>:
  • 10 In whose <0834> hands <03027> [is] mischief <02154>, and
  • their right <03225> hand <03225> is full <04390> of bribes
  • <07810>.
  • 11 But as for me, I will walk <03212> in mine integrity
  • <08537>: redeem <06299> me, and be merciful <02603> unto me.
  • 12 My foot <07272> standeth <05975> in an even <04334> place:
  • in the congregations <04721> will I bless <01288> the LORD
  • <03068>.
  • Psalms 27
  • 1. [A Psalm] of David <01732>. The LORD <03068> [is] my light
  • <0216> and my salvation <03468>; whom <04310> shall I fear
  • <03372>? the LORD <03068> [is] the strength <04581> of my life
  • <02416>; of whom <04310> shall I be afraid <06342>?
  • 2 When the wicked <07489>, [even] mine enemies <06862> and my
  • foes <0341>, came <07126> upon me to eat <0398> up my flesh
  • <01320>, they stumbled <03782> and fell <05307>.
  • 3 Though <0518> an host <04264> should encamp <02583> against
  • <05921> me, my heart <03820> shall not fear <03372>: though
  • <0518> war <04421> should rise <06965> against <05921> me, in
  • this <02063> [will] I [be] confident <0982>.
  • 4 One <0259> [thing] have I desired <07592> of the LORD
  • <03068>, that will I seek <01245> after; that I may dwell
  • <03427> in the house <01004> of the LORD <03068> all <03605> the
  • days <03117> of my life <02416>, to behold <02372> the beauty
  • <05278> of the LORD <03068>, and to enquire <01239> in his

  • 5 For in the time <03117> of trouble <07451> he shall hide
  • <06845> me in his pavilion <05520>: in the secret <05643> of his
  • tabernacle <0168> shall he hide <05641> me; he shall set <07311>
  • me up upon a rock <06697>.
  • 6 And now <06258> shall mine head <07218> be lifted <07311> up
  • above <05921> mine enemies <0341> round <05439> about me:
  • therefore will I offer <02076> in his tabernacle <0168>
  • sacrifices <02077> of joy <08643>; I will sing <07891>, yea, I
  • will sing <02167> praises unto the LORD <03068>.
  • 7. Hear <08085>, O LORD <03068>, [when] I cry <07121> with my
  • voice <06963>: have mercy <02603> also upon me, and answer
  • <06030> me.
  • 8 [When thou saidst <0559>], Seek <01245> ye my face <06440>;
  • my heart <03820> said <0559> unto thee, Thy face <06440>, LORD
  • <03068>, will I seek <01245>.
  • 9 Hide <05641> not thy face <06440> [far] from me; put <05186>
  • not thy servant <05650> away <05186> in anger <0639>: thou hast

  • 10 When <03588> my father <01> and my mother <0517> forsake

  • 11 Teach <03384> me thy way <01870>, O LORD <03068>, and lead

  • 12 Deliver <05414> me not over unto the will <05315> of mine
  • enemies <06862>: for false <08267> witnesses <05707> are risen

  • <02555>.
  • 13 [I had fainted], unless <03884> I had believed <0539> to

  • <0776> of the living <02416>.
  • 14 Wait <06960> on the LORD <03068>: be of good courage
  • <02388>, and he shall strengthen <0553> thine heart <03820>:
  • wait <06960>, I say, on the LORD <03068>.
  • Psalms 28
  • 1. [A Psalm] of David <01732>. Unto thee will I cry <07121>, O
  • LORD <03068> my rock <06697>; be not silent <02790> to me: lest
  • <06435>, [if] thou be silent <02790> to me, I become <04911>

  • when I cry <07768> unto thee, when I lift <05375> up my hands

  • 4 Give <05414> them according to their deeds <06467>, and

  • give <05414> them after the work <04639> of their hands <03027>;

  • 5 Because <03588> they regard <0995> not the works <06468> of

  • 7 The LORD <03068> [is] my strength <05797> and my shield
  • <04043>; my heart <03820> trusted <0982> in him, and I am helped
  • <05826>: therefore my heart <03820> greatly rejoiceth <05937>;

  • 4 The voice <06963> of the LORD <03068> [is] powerful <03581>;
  • the voice <06963> of the LORD <03068> [is] full of majesty
  • <01926>.
  • 5 The voice <06963> of the LORD <03068> breaketh <07665> the

  • <0730> of Lebanon <03844>.
  • 6 He maketh them also to skip <07540> like <03644> a calf
  • <05695>; Lebanon <03844> and Sirion <08304> like <03644> a young
  • <01121> unicorn <07214>.
  • 7 The voice <06963> of the LORD <03068> divideth <02672> the

  • 8 The voice <06963> of the LORD <03068> shaketh <02342> the

  • 9 The voice <06963> of the LORD <03068> maketh the hinds

  • 10 The LORD <03068> sitteth <03427> upon the flood <03999>;

  • 11 The LORD <03068> will give <05414> strength <05797> unto

  • Psalms 30
  • 1. A Psalm <04210> [and] Song <07892> [at] the dedication
  • <02598> of the house <01004> of David <01732>. I will extol
  • <07311> thee, O LORD <03068>; for thou hast lifted <01802> me up,
  • and hast not made my foes <0341> to rejoice <08055> over me.
  • 2 O LORD <03068> my God <0430>, I cried <07768> unto thee, and
  • thou hast healed <07495> me.
  • 3 O LORD <03068>, thou hast brought <05927> up my soul <05315>
  • from the grave <07585>: thou hast kept me alive <02421>, that I
  • should not go <03381> down <03381> to the pit <0953>.
  • 4 Sing <02167> unto the LORD <03068>, O ye saints <02623> of
  • his, and give thanks <03034> at the remembrance <02143> of his
  • holiness <06944>.
  • 5 For his anger <0639> [endureth but] a moment <07281>; in his
  • favour <07522> [is] life <02416>: weeping <01065> may endure
  • <03885> for a night <06153>, but joy <07440> [cometh] in the
  • morning <01242>.
  • 6. And in my prosperity <07961> I said <0559>, I shall never be
  • moved <04131>.
  • 7 LORD <03068>, by thy favour <07522> thou hast made my
  • mountain <02042> to stand <05975> strong <05797>: thou didst
  • hide <05641> thy face <06440>, [and] I was troubled <0926>.
  • 8 I cried <07121> to thee, O LORD <03068>; and unto the LORD
  • <03068> I made supplication <02603>.
  • 9 What <04100> profit <01215> [is there] in my blood <01818>,
  • when I go <03381> down <03381> to the pit <07845>? Shall the
  • dust <06083> praise <03034> thee? shall it declare <05046> thy
  • truth <0571>?
  • 10 Hear <08085>, O LORD <03068>, and have mercy <02603> upon
  • me: LORD <03068>, be thou my helper <05826>.
  • 11 Thou hast turned <02015> for me my mourning <04553> into
  • dancing <04234>: thou hast put <06605> off my sackcloth <08242>,
  • and girded <0247> me with gladness <08057>;
  • 12 To the end <04616> that [my] glory <03519> may sing <02167>
  • praise to thee, and not be silent <01826>. O LORD <03068> my God
  • <0430>, I will give thanks <03034> unto thee for ever <05769>.
  • Psalms 31
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329>, A Psalm <04210> of David
  • <01732>. In thee, O LORD <03068>, do <06213> I put my trust
  • <02620>; let me never <0408> be ashamed <0954>: deliver <06403>
  • me in thy righteousness <06666>.
  • 2 Bow <05186> down <05186> thine ear <0241> to me; deliver
  • <05337> me speedily <04120>: be thou my strong <04581> rock
  • <06697>, for an house <01004> of defence <04686> to save <03467>
  • me.
  • 3 For thou [art] my rock <05553> and my fortress <04686>;
  • therefore for thy name's <08034> sake <04616> lead <05148> me,
  • and guide <05095> me.
  • 4 Pull <03318> me out of the net <07568> that they have laid
  • <02934> privily <02934> for me: for thou [art] my strength
  • <04581>.
  • 5 Into thine hand <03027> I commit <06485> my spirit <07307>:
  • thou hast redeemed <06299> me, O LORD <03068> God <0410> of
  • truth <0571>.
  • 6 I have hated <08130> them that regard <08104> lying <07723>
  • vanities <01892>: but I trust <0982> in the LORD <03068>.
  • 7 I will be glad <01523> and rejoice <08055> in thy mercy
  • <02617>: for thou hast considered <07200> my trouble <06040>;
  • thou hast known <03045> my soul <05315> in adversities <06869>;
  • 8 And hast not shut <05462> me up into the hand <03027> of the
  • enemy <0341>: thou hast set <05975> my feet <07272> in a large
  • <04800> room <04800>.
  • 9. Have mercy <02603> upon me, O LORD <03068>, for I am in
  • trouble <06887>: mine eye <05869> is consumed <06244> with grief
  • <03708>, [yea], my soul <05315> and my belly <0990>.
  • 10 For my life <02416> is spent <03615> with grief <03015>,
  • and my years <08141> with sighing <0585>: my strength <03581>
  • faileth <03782> because of mine iniquity <05771>, and my bones
  • <06106> are consumed <06244>.
  • 11 I was a reproach <02781> among all <03605> mine enemies
  • <06887>, but especially <03966> among my neighbours <07934>, and
  • a fear <06343> to mine acquaintance <03045>: they that did see
  • <07200> me without <02351> fled <05074> from me.
  • 12 I am forgotten <07911> as a dead <04191> man out of mind
  • <03820>: I am like <03644> a broken <06> vessel <03627>.
  • 13 For I have heard <08085> the slander <01681> of many
  • <07227>: fear <04032> [was] on every <05437> side <05439>: while
  • they took counsel <03245> together <03162> against <05921> me,
  • they devised <02161> to take <03947> away my life <05315>.
  • 14 But I trusted <0982> in thee, O LORD <03068>: I said <0559>,
  • Thou [art] my God <0430>.
  • 15 My times <06256> [are] in thy hand <03027>: deliver <05337>
  • me from the hand <03027> of mine enemies <0341>, and from them
  • that persecute <07291> me.
  • 16 Make thy face <06440> to shine <0215> upon thy servant
  • <05650>: save <03467> me for thy mercies <02617>' sake.
  • 17 Let me not be ashamed <0954>, O LORD <03068>; for I have
  • called <07121> upon thee: let the wicked <07563> be ashamed
  • <0954>, [and] let them be silent <01826> in the grave <07585>.
  • 18 Let the lying <08267> lips <08193> be put to silence <0481>;
  • which speak <01696> grievous <06277> things proudly <01346> and
  • contemptuously against <05921> the righteous <06662>.
  • 19. [Oh] how <04100> great <07227> [is] thy goodness <02898>,
  • which <0834> thou hast laid <06845> up for them that fear
  • <03373> thee; [which] thou hast wrought <06466> for them that
  • trust <02620> in thee before <05048> the sons <01121> of men
  • <0120>!
  • 20 Thou shalt hide <05641> them in the secret <05643> of thy
  • presence <06440> from the pride <07407> of man <0376>: thou
  • shalt keep them secretly <06845> in a pavilion <05521> from the
  • strife <07379> of tongues <03956>.
  • 21 Blessed <01288> [be] the LORD <03068>: for he hath shewed
  • me his marvellous <06381> kindness <02617> in a strong <04692>
  • city <05892>.
  • 22 For I said <0559> in my haste <02648>, I am cut <01629> off
  • from before <05048> thine eyes <05869>: nevertheless <0403> thou
  • heardest <08085> the voice <06963> of my supplications <08469>
  • when I cried <07768> unto thee.
  • 23 O love <0157> the LORD <03068>, all <03605> ye his saints
  • <02623>: [for] the LORD <03068> preserveth <05341> the faithful
  • <0539>, and plentifully <03499> rewardeth <07999> the proud
  • <01346> doer <06218>.
  • 24 Be of good courage <02388>, and he shall strengthen <0553>
  • your heart <03824>, all <03605> ye that hope <03176> in the LORD

  • Psalms 32
  • 1. [A Psalm] of David <01732>, Maschil <07919>. Blessed <0835>
  • [is he whose] transgression <06588> [is] forgiven <05375>,
  • [whose] sin <02401> [is] covered <03680>.
  • 2 Blessed <0835> [is] the man <0120> unto whom the LORD
  • <03068> imputeth <02803> not iniquity <05771>, and in whose
  • spirit <07307> [there is] no <0369> guile <07423>.
  • 3 When <03588> I kept <02790> silence <02790>, my bones
  • <06106> waxed old <01086> through my roaring <07581> all <03605>
  • the day <03117> long.
  • 4 For day <03119> and night <03915> thy hand <03027> was heavy
  • <03513> upon me: my moisture <03955> is turned <02015> into the
  • drought <02725> of summer <07019>. Selah <05542>.
  • 5 I acknowledged <03045> my sin <02403> unto thee, and mine
  • iniquity <05771> have I not hid <03680>. I said <0559>, I will
  • confess <03034> my transgressions <06588> unto the LORD <03068>;
  • and thou forgavest <05375> the iniquity <05771> of my sin
  • <02403>. Selah <05542>.
  • 6 For this <02063> shall every <03605> one that is godly
  • <02623> pray <06419> unto thee in a time <06256> when thou

  • 8 I will instruct <07919> thee and teach <03384> thee in the
  • way <01870> which <02098> thou shalt go <03212>: I will guide
  • <03289> thee with mine eye <05869>.
  • 9 Be ye not as the horse <05483>, [or] as the mule <06505>,
  • [which] have no <0369> understanding <0995>: whose mouth <05716>

  • 2 Praise <03034> the LORD <03068> with harp <03658>: sing

  • 3 Sing <07891> unto him a new <02319> song <07892>; play

  • together as an heap <05067>: he layeth <05414> up the depth
  • <08415> in storehouses <0214>.
  • 8 Let all <03605> the earth <0776> fear <03372> the LORD
  • <03068>: let all <03605> the inhabitants <03427> of the world
  • <08398> stand <01481> in awe <01481> of him.

  • 20 Our soul <05315> waiteth <02442> for the LORD <03068>: he
  • [is] our help <05828> and our shield <04043>.
  • 21 For our heart <03820> shall rejoice <08055> in him, because
  • <03588> we have trusted <0982> in his holy <06944> name <08034>.
  • 22 Let thy mercy <02617>, O LORD <03068>, be upon us,

  • and delivered <05337> me from all <03605> my fears <04035>.
  • 5 They looked <05027> unto him, and were lightened <05102>:
  • and their faces <06440> were not ashamed <02659>.
  • 6 This <02088> poor <06041> man cried <07121>, and the LORD
  • <03068> heard <08085> [him], and saved <03467> him out of all
  • <03605> his troubles <06869>.
  • 7 The angel <04397> of the LORD <03068> encampeth <02583>
  • round <05439> about them that fear <03373> him, and delivereth
  • <02502> them.
  • 8 O taste <02938> and see <07200> that the LORD <03068> [is]
  • good <02896>: blessed <0835> [is] the man <01397> [that]
  • trusteth <02620> in him.
  • 9 O fear <03372> the LORD <03068>, ye his saints <06918>: for
  • [there is] no <0369> want <04270> to them that fear <03373> him.
  • 10 The young <03715> lions <03715> do <06213> lack <07326>,
  • and suffer hunger <07456>: but they that seek <01875> the LORD
  • <03068> shall not want <02637> any <03605> good <02896> [thing].
  • 11. Come <03212>, ye children <01121>, hearken <08085> unto me:
  • I will teach <03925> you the fear <03374> of the LORD <03068>.
  • 12 What <04310> man <0376> [is he that] desireth <02655> life
  • <02416>, [and] loveth <0157> [many] days <03117>, that he may
  • see <07200> good <02896>?
  • 13 Keep <05341> thy tongue <03956> from evil <07451>, and thy
  • lips <08193> from speaking <01696> guile <04820>.
  • 14 Depart <05493> from evil <07451>, and do <06213> good
  • <02896>; seek <01245> peace <07965>, and pursue <07291> it.
  • 15 The eyes <05869> of the LORD <03068> [are] upon the
  • righteous <06662>, and his ears <0241> [are open] unto their cry
  • <07775>.
  • 16 The face <06440> of the LORD <03068> [is] against them that
  • do <06213> evil <07451>, to cut <03772> off the remembrance
  • <02143> of them from the earth <0776>.
  • 17 [The righteous] cry <06817>, and the LORD <03068> heareth
  • <08085>, and delivereth <05337> them out of all <03605> their
  • troubles <06869>.
  • 18 The LORD <03068> [is] nigh <07126> unto them that are of a
  • broken <07665> heart <03820>; and saveth <03467> such as be of a
  • contrite <01793> spirit <07307>.
  • 19 Many <07227> [are] the afflictions <07451> of the righteous
  • <06662>: but the LORD <03068> delivereth <05337> him out of them
  • all <03605>.
  • 20 He keepeth <08104> all <03605> his bones <06106>: not one
  • <0259> of them is broken <07665>.
  • 21 Evil <07451> shall slay <04191> the wicked <07563>: and
  • they that hate <08130> the righteous <06662> shall be desolate
  • <0816>.
  • 22 The LORD <03068> redeemeth <06299> the soul <05315> of his
  • servants <05650>: and none <03808> of them that trust <02620> in
  • him shall be desolate <0816>.
  • Psalms 35
  • 1. [A Psalm] of David <01732>. Plead <07378> [my cause], O LORD
  • <03068>, with them that strive <03401> with me: fight <03898>
  • against them that fight <03898> against me.
  • 2 Take <02388> hold <02388> of shield <04043> and buckler
  • <06793>, and stand <06965> up for mine help <05833>.
  • 3 Draw <07324> out also the spear <02595>, and stop <05462>
  • [the way] against <07125> them that persecute <07291> me: say
  • <0559> unto my soul <05315>, I [am] thy salvation <03444>.
  • 4 Let them be confounded <0954> and put to shame <03637> that
  • seek <01245> after my soul <05315>: let them be turned <05472>
  • back <0268> and brought <02659> to confusion <02659> that devise
  • <02803> my hurt <07451>.
  • 5 Let them be as chaff <04671> before <06440> the wind <07307>:
  • and let the angel <04397> of the LORD <03068> chase <01760>
  • [them].
  • 6 Let their way <01870> be dark <02822> and slippery <02519>:
  • and let the angel <04397> of the LORD <03068> persecute <07291>
  • them.
  • 7 For without <02600> cause <02600> have they hid <02934> for
  • me their net <07568> [in] a pit <07845>, [which] without <02600>
  • cause <02600> they have digged <02658> for my soul <05315>.
  • 8 Let destruction <07722> come <0935> upon him at unawares
  • <03045>; and let his net <07568> that he hath hid <02934> catch
  • <03920> himself: into that very destruction <07722> let him fall
  • <05307>.
  • 9 And my soul <05315> shall be joyful <01523> in the LORD
  • <03068>: it shall rejoice <07797> in his salvation <03444>.
  • 10 All <03605> my bones <06106> shall say <0559>, LORD <03068>,
  • who <04310> [is] like unto thee, which deliverest <05337> the
  • poor <06041> from him that is too strong <02389> for him, yea,
  • the poor <06041> and the needy <034> from him that spoileth
  • <01497> him?
  • 11. False <02555> witnesses <05707> did rise <06965> up; they
  • laid to my charge <07592> [things] that I knew <03045> not.
  • 12 They rewarded <07999> me evil <07451> for good <02896> [to]
  • the spoiling <07908> of my soul <05315>.
  • 13 But as for me, when they were sick <02470>, my clothing
  • <03830> [was] sackcloth <08242>: I humbled <06031> my soul
  • <05315> with fasting <06685>; and my prayer <08605> returned
  • <07725> into <05921> mine own bosom <02436>.
  • 14 I behaved <01980> myself as though [he had been] my friend
  • <07453> [or] brother <0251>: I bowed <07817> down <07817>
  • heavily <06957>, as one that mourneth <057> [for his] mother
  • <0517>.
  • 15 But in mine adversity <06761> they rejoiced <08055>, and
  • gathered <0622> themselves together: [yea], the abjects <05222>
  • gathered <0622> themselves together against <05921> me, and I
  • knew <03045> [it] not; they did tear <07167> [me], and ceased
  • <01826> not:
  • 16 With hypocritical <02611> mockers <03934> in feasts <04580>,
  • they gnashed <02786> upon me with their teeth <08127>.
  • 17. Lord <0136>, how <04100> long <05704> wilt thou look
  • <07200> on? rescue <07725> my soul <05315> from their
  • destructions <07722>, my darling <03173> from the lions <03715>.
  • 18 I will give thee thanks <03034> in the great <07227>
  • congregation <06951>: I will praise <01984> thee among much
  • <06079> people <05971>.
  • 19 Let not them that are mine enemies <0341> wrongfully
  • <08267> rejoice <08055> over me: [neither] let them wink <07169>
  • with the eye <05869> that hate <08130> me without <02600> a
  • cause <02600>.
  • 20 For they speak <01696> not peace <07965>: but they devise
  • <02803> deceitful <04820> matters <01697> against <05921> [them
  • that are] quiet <07282> in the land <0776>.
  • 21 Yea, they opened their mouth <06310> wide <07337> against
  • <05921> me, [and] said <0559>, Aha <0253>, aha <0253>, our eye
  • <05869> hath seen <07200> [it].
  • 22 [This] thou hast seen <07200>, O LORD <03068>: keep not
  • silence <02790>: O Lord <03068>, be not far <07368> from me.
  • 23 Stir <05782> up thyself, and awake <06974> to my judgment
  • <04941>, [even] unto my cause <07379>, my God <0430> and my Lord
  • <0136>.
  • 24 Judge <08199> me, O LORD <03068> my God <0430>, according
  • to thy righteousness <06664>; and let them not rejoice <08055>
  • over me.
  • 25 Let them not say <0559> in their hearts <03820>, Ah <0253>,
  • so would <05315> we have it: let them not say <0559>, We have
  • swallowed <01104> him up.
  • 26 Let them be ashamed <0954> and brought <02659> to confusion
  • <02659> together <03162> that rejoice <08055> at mine hurt
  • <07451>: let them be clothed <03847> with shame <01322> and
  • dishonour <03639> that magnify <01431> [themselves] against
  • <05921> me.
  • 27 Let them shout <07442> for joy, and be glad <08056>, that
  • favour <02655> my righteous <06664> cause: yea, let them say
  • <0559> continually <08548>, Let the LORD <03068> be magnified
  • <01431>, which hath pleasure <02655> in the prosperity <07965>
  • of his servant <05650>.
  • 28 And my tongue <03956> shall speak <01897> of thy
  • righteousness <06664> [and] of thy praise <08416> all <03605>
  • the day <03117> long.
  • Psalms 36
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329>, [A Psalm] of David <01732>
  • the servant <05650> of the LORD <03068>. The transgression
  • <06588> of the wicked <07563> saith <05002> within <07130> my
  • heart <03820>, [that there is] no <0369> fear <06343> of God
  • <0430> before <05048> his eyes <05869>.
  • 2 For he flattereth <02505> himself in his own eyes <05869>,
  • until his iniquity <05771> be found <04672> to be hateful
  • <08130>.
  • 3 The words <01697> of his mouth <06310> [are] iniquity <0205>
  • and deceit <04820>: he hath left <02308> off to be wise <07919>,
  • [and] to do good <03190>.
  • 4 He deviseth <02803> mischief <0205> upon his bed <04904>; he
  • setteth <03320> himself in a way <01870> [that is] not good
  • <02896>; he abhorreth <03988> not evil <07451>.
  • 5. Thy mercy <02617>, O LORD <03068>, [is] in the heavens
  • <08064>; [and] thy faithfulness <0530> [reacheth] unto the
  • clouds <07834>.
  • 6 Thy righteousness <06666> [is] like the great <0410>
  • mountains <02042>; thy judgments <04941> [are] a great <07227>
  • deep <08415>: O LORD <03068>, thou preservest <03467> man <0120>
  • and beast <0929>.
  • 7 How <04100> excellent <03368> [is] thy lovingkindness
  • <02617>, O God <0430>! therefore the children <01121> of men
  • <0120> put their trust <02620> under the shadow <06738> of thy
  • wings <03671>.
  • 8 They shall be abundantly <07301> satisfied <07301> with the
  • fatness <01880> of thy house <01004>; and thou shalt make them
  • drink <08248> of the river <05158> of thy pleasures <05730>.
  • 9 For with thee [is] the fountain <04726> of life <02416>: in
  • thy light <0216> shall we see <07200> light <0216>.
  • 10 O continue <04900> thy lovingkindness <02617> unto them
  • that know <03045> thee; and thy righteousness <06666> to the
  • upright <03477> in heart <03820>.
  • 11 Let not the foot <07272> of pride <01346> come <0935>
  • against me, and let not the hand <03027> of the wicked <07563>
  • remove <05110> me.
  • 12 There <08033> are the workers <06466> of iniquity <0205>
  • fallen <05307>: they are cast <01760> down <01760>, and shall
  • not be able <03201> to rise <06965>.
  • Psalms 37
  • 1. [A Psalm] of David <01732>. Fret <02734> not thyself because
  • of evildoers <07489>, neither <0408> be thou envious <07065>
  • against the workers <06213> of iniquity <05766>.
  • 2 For they shall soon <04120> be cut <05243> down <05243> like
  • the grass <02682>, and wither <05034> as the green <03418> herb
  • <01877>.
  • 3 Trust <0982> in the LORD <03068>, and do <06213> good
  • <02896>; [so] shalt thou dwell <07931> in the land <0776>, and
  • verily <0530> thou shalt be fed <07462>.
  • 4 Delight <06026> thyself also in the LORD <03068>; and he
  • shall give <05414> thee the desires <04862> of thine heart
  • <03820>.
  • 5 Commit <01556> thy way <01870> unto the LORD <03068>; trust
  • <0982> also in him; and he shall bring <06213> [it] to pass
  • <06213>.
  • 6 And he shall bring <03318> forth <03318> thy righteousness
  • <06664> as the light <0216>, and thy judgment <04941> as the
  • noonday <06672>.
  • 7. Rest <01826> in the LORD <03068>, and wait <02342> patiently
  • <02342> for him: fret <02734> not thyself because of him who
  • prospereth <06743> in his way <01870>, because of the man <0376>
  • who bringeth <06213> wicked <04209> devices <04209> to pass
  • <06213>.
  • 8 Cease <07503> from anger <0639>, and forsake <05800> wrath
  • <02534>: fret <02734> not thyself in any wise to do evil <07489>.
  • 9 For evildoers <07489> shall be cut <03772> off: but those
  • that wait <06960> upon the LORD <03068>, they shall inherit
  • <03423> the earth <0776>.
  • 10 For yet <05750> a little <04592> while, and the wicked
  • <07563> [shall] not [be]: yea, thou shalt diligently <0995>
  • consider <0995> his place <04725>, and it [shall] not [be].
  • 11 But the meek <06035> shall inherit <03423> the earth <0776>;
  • and shall delight <06026> themselves in the abundance <07230>
  • of peace <07965>.
  • 12 The wicked <07563> plotteth <02161> against the just
  • <06662>, and gnasheth <02786> upon him with his teeth <08127>.
  • 13 The Lord <0136> shall laugh <07832> at him: for he seeth
  • <07200> that his day <03117> is coming <0935>.
  • 14 The wicked <07563> have drawn <06605> out the sword <02719>,
  • and have bent <01869> their bow <07198>, to cast <05307> down
  • <05307> the poor <06041> and needy <034>, [and] to slay <02873>
  • such as be of upright <03477> conversation <01870>.
  • 15 Their sword <02719> shall enter <0935> into their own heart
  • <03820>, and their bows <07198> shall be broken <07665>.
  • 16 A little <04592> that a righteous <06662> man hath [is]
  • better <02896> than the riches <01995> of many <07227> wicked
  • <07563>.
  • 17 For the arms <02220> of the wicked <07563> shall be broken
  • <07665>: but the LORD <03068> upholdeth <05564> the righteous
  • <06662>.
  • 18 The LORD <03068> knoweth <03045> the days <03117> of the
  • upright <08549>: and their inheritance <05159> shall be for ever
  • <05769>.
  • 19 They shall not be ashamed <0954> in the evil <07451> time
  • <06256>: and in the days <03117> of famine <07459> they shall be
  • satisfied <07646>.
  • 20 But the wicked <07563> shall perish <06>, and the enemies
  • <0341> of the LORD <03068> [shall be] as the fat <03368> of
  • lambs <03733>: they shall consume <03615>; into smoke <06227>
  • shall they consume <03615> away.
  • 21. The wicked <07563> borroweth <03867>, and payeth <07999>
  • not again <07999>: but the righteous <06662> sheweth mercy
  • <02603>, and giveth <05414>.
  • 22 For [such as be] blessed <01288> of him shall inherit
  • <03423> the earth <0776>; and [they that be] cursed <07043> of
  • him shall be cut <03772> off.
  • 23 The steps <04703> of a [good] man <01397> are ordered
  • <03559> by the LORD <03068>: and he delighteth <02654> in his
  • way <01870>.
  • 24 Though <03588> he fall <05307>, he shall not be utterly
  • cast <02904> down <02904>: for the LORD <03068> upholdeth
  • <05564> [him with] his hand <03027>.
  • 25 I have been <01961> young <05288>, and [now] am old <02204>;
  • yet have I not seen <07200> the righteous <06662> forsaken
  • <05800>, nor his seed <02233> begging <01245> bread <03899>.
  • 26 [He is] ever merciful <02603>, and lendeth <03867>; and his
  • seed <02233> [is] blessed <01293>.
  • 27 Depart <05493> from evil <07451>, and do <06213> good
  • <02896>; and dwell <07931> for evermore <05769>.
  • 28 For the LORD <03068> loveth <0157> judgment <04941>, and
  • forsaketh <05800> not his saints <02623>; they are preserved
  • <08104> for ever <05769>: but the seed <02233> of the wicked
  • <07563> shall be cut <03772> off.
  • 29 The righteous <06662> shall inherit <03423> the land <0776>,
  • and dwell <07931> therein <05921> for ever <05703>.
  • 30 The mouth <06310> of the righteous <06662> speaketh <01897>
  • wisdom <02451>, and his tongue <03956> talketh <01696> of
  • judgment <04941>.
  • 31 The law <08451> of his God <0430> [is] in his heart <03820>;
  • none <03808> of his steps <0838> shall slide <04571>.
  • 32 The wicked <07563> watcheth <06822> the righteous <06662>,
  • and seeketh <01245> to slay <04191> him.
  • 33 The LORD <03068> will not leave <05800> him in his hand
  • <03027>, nor <03808> condemn <07561> him when he is judged
  • <08199>.
  • 34. Wait <06960> on the LORD <03068>, and keep <08104> his way
  • <01870>, and he shall exalt <07311> thee to inherit <03423> the
  • land <0776>: when the wicked <07563> are cut <03772> off, thou
  • shalt see <07200> [it].
  • 35 I have seen <07200> the wicked <07563> in great power
  • <06184>, and spreading <06168> himself like a green <07488> bay
  • <0249> tree.
  • 36 Yet he passed <05674> away, and, lo <02009>, he [was] not:
  • yea, I sought <01245> him, but he could not be found <04672>.
  • 37 Mark <08104> the perfect <08535> [man], and behold <07200>
  • the upright <03477>: for the end <0319> of [that] man <0376>
  • [is] peace <07965>.
  • 38 But the transgressors <06586> shall be destroyed <08045>
  • together <03162>: the end <0319> of the wicked <07563> shall be

  • Psalms 38
  • 1. A Psalm <04210> of David <01732>, to bring to remembrance
  • <02142>. O LORD <03068>, rebuke <03198> me not in thy wrath
  • <07110>: neither chasten <03256> me in thy hot <02534>
  • displeasure <02534>.
  • 2 For thine arrows <02671> stick <05181> fast in me, and thy
  • hand <03027> presseth <05181> me sore.
  • 3 [There is] no <0369> soundness <04974> in my flesh <01320>
  • because <06440> of thine anger <02195>; neither <0369> [is there
  • any] rest <07965> in my bones <06106> because <06440> of my sin
  • <02403>.
  • 4 For mine iniquities <05771> are gone <05674> over <05674>
  • mine head <07218>: as an heavy <03515> burden <04853> they are
  • too heavy <03513> for me.
  • 5 My wounds <02250> stink <0887> [and] are corrupt <04743>
  • because <06440> of my foolishness <0200>.
  • 6 I am troubled <05753>; I am <01961> bowed <07817> down
  • <07817> greatly <03966>; I go <01980> mourning <06937> all
  • <03605> the day <03117> long.
  • 7 For my loins <03689> are filled <04390> with a loathsome
  • <07033> [disease]: and [there is] no <0369> soundness <04974> in
  • my flesh <01320>.

  • 8 I am feeble <06313> and sore broken <01794>: I have roared
  • <07580> by reason of the disquietness <05100> of my heart
  • <03820>.
  • 9 Lord <0136>, all <03605> my desire <08378> [is] before
  • <05048> thee; and my groaning <0585> is not hid <05641> from
  • thee.
  • 10 My heart <03820> panteth <05503>, my strength <03581>
  • faileth <05800> me: as for the light <0216> of mine eyes <05869>,
  • it also <01571> is gone <0369> from me.
  • 11 My lovers <0157> and my friends <07453> stand <05975> aloof
  • <05048> from my sore <05061>; and my kinsmen <07138> stand
  • <05975> afar <07350> off.
  • 12. They also that seek <01245> after my life <05315> lay
  • snares <05367> [for me]: and they that seek <01875> my hurt
  • <07451> speak <01696> mischievous <01942> things, and imagine
  • <01897> deceits <04820> all <03605> the day <03117> long.
  • 13 But I, as a deaf <02795> [man], heard <08085> not; and [I
  • was] as a dumb <0483> man [that] openeth <06605> not his mouth
  • <06310>.
  • 14 Thus I was as a man <0376> that heareth <08085> not, and in
  • whose mouth <06310> [are] no <0369> reproofs <08433>.
  • 15 For in thee, O LORD <03068>, do I hope <03176>: thou wilt
  • hear <06030>, O Lord <0136> my God <0430>.
  • 16 For I said <0559>, [Hear me], lest <06435> [otherwise] they
  • should rejoice <08056> over me: when my foot <07272> slippeth
  • <04131>, they magnify <01431> [themselves] against <05921> me.
  • 17 For I [am] ready <03559> to halt <06761>, and my sorrow
  • <04341> [is] continually <08548> before <05048> me.
  • 18 For I will declare <05046> mine iniquity <05771>; I will be
  • sorry <01672> for my sin <02403>.
  • 19 But mine enemies <0341> [are] lively <02416>, [and] they
  • are strong <06105>: and they that hate <08130> me wrongfully
  • <08267> are multiplied <07231>.
  • 20 They also that render <07999> evil <07451> for good <02896>
  • are mine adversaries <07853>; because <08478> I follow <07291>
  • [the thing that] good <02896> [is].
  • 21 Forsake <05800> me not, O LORD <03068>: O my God <0430>, be
  • not far <07368> from me.
  • 22 Make haste <02363> to help <05833> me, O Lord <0136> my
  • salvation <08668>.
  • Psalms 39
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329>, [even] to Jeduthun <03038>, A
  • Psalm <04210> of David <01732>. I said <0559>, I will take heed
  • <08104> to my ways <01870>, that I sin <02398> not with my
  • tongue <03956>: I will keep <08104> my mouth <06310> with a
  • bridle <04269>, while <05750> the wicked <07563> is before
  • <05048> me.
  • 2 I was dumb <0481> with silence <01747>, I held <02714> my
  • peace <02814>, [even] from good <02896>; and my sorrow <03511>
  • was stirred <05916>.
  • 3 My heart <03820> was hot <02552> within <07130> me, while I
  • was musing <01901> the fire <0784> burned <01197>: [then] spake
  • <01696> I with my tongue <03956>,
  • 4 LORD <03068>, make me to know <03045> mine end <07093>, and
  • the measure <04060> of my days <03117>, what <04310> it [is;

  • 5 Behold <02009>, thou hast made <05414> my days <03117> [as]
  • an handbreadth <02947>; and mine age <02465> [is] as nothing
  • <0369> before <05048> thee: verily <0389> every <03605> man
  • <0120> at his best <05324> state <05324> [is] altogether <03605>
  • vanity <01892>. Selah <05542>.
  • 6 Surely <0389> every man <0376> walketh <01980> in a vain
  • shew <06754>: surely <0389> they are disquieted <01993> in vain
  • <01892>: he heapeth <06651> up [riches], and knoweth <03045> not
  • who <04310> shall gather <0622> them.
  • 7. And now <06258>, Lord <0136>, what <04100> wait <06960> I
  • for? my hope <08431> [is] in thee.
  • 8 Deliver <05337> me from all <03605> my transgressions
  • <06588>: make <07760> me not the reproach <02781> of the foolish
  • <05036>.
  • 9 I was dumb <0481>, I opened <06605> not my mouth <06310>;
  • because <03588> thou didst <06213> [it].
  • 10 Remove <05493> thy stroke <05061> away from me: I am
  • consumed <03615> by the blow <08409> of thine hand <03027>.
  • 11 When thou with rebukes <08433> dost correct <03256> man
  • <0376> for iniquity <05771>, thou makest his beauty <02530> to
  • consume <04529> away like a moth <06211>: surely <0389> every
  • <03605> man <0120> [is] vanity <01892>. Selah <05542>.
  • 12 Hear <08085> my prayer <08605>, O LORD <03068>, and give
  • ear <0238> unto my cry <07775>; hold <02790> not thy peace
  • <02790> at <0413> my tears <01832>: for I [am] a stranger
  • <01616> with thee, [and] a sojourner <08453>, as all <03605> my

  • 13 O spare <08159> me, that I may recover <01082> strength
  • <01082>, before <02962> I go <03212> hence, and be no <0369>
  • more.
  • Psalms 40
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329>, A Psalm <04210> of David
  • <01732>. I waited <06960> patiently <06960> for the LORD <03068>;
  • and he inclined <05186> unto me, and heard <08085> my cry
  • <07775>.
  • 2 He brought <05927> me up also out of an horrible <07588> pit
  • <0953>, out of the miry <03121> clay <02916>, and set <06965> my
  • feet <07272> upon a rock <05553>, [and] established <03559> my
  • goings <0838>.
  • 3 And he hath put <05414> a new <02319> song <07892> in my
  • mouth <06310>, [even] praise <08416> unto our God <0430>: many
  • <07227> shall see <07200> [it], and fear <03372>, and shall
  • trust <0982> in the LORD <03068>.
  • 4 Blessed <0835> [is] that man <01397> that maketh <07760> the
  • LORD <03068> his trust <04009>, and respecteth <06437> not the
  • proud <07295>, nor <03808> such as turn <07750> aside <07847> to
  • lies <03576>.
  • 5 Many <07227>, O LORD <03068> my God <0430>, [are] thy
  • wonderful <06381> works [which] thou hast done <06213>, and thy
  • thoughts <04284> [which are] to us-ward <0413>: they cannot

  • 6. Sacrifice <02077> and offering <04503> thou didst not desire
  • <02654>; mine ears <0241> hast thou opened <03738>: burnt
  • <05930> offering and sin <02401> offering hast thou not required
  • <07592>.
  • 7 Then <0227> said <0559> I, Lo <02009>, I come <0935>: in the
  • volume <04039> of the book <05612> [it is] written <03789> of me,
  • 8 I delight <02654> to do <06213> thy will <07522>, O my God
  • <0430>: yea, thy law <08451> [is] within <08432> my heart
  • <04578>.
  • 9 I have preached <01319> righteousness <06664> in the great
  • <07227> congregation <06951>: lo <02009>, I have not refrained
  • <03607> my lips <08193>, O LORD <03068>, thou knowest <03045>.
  • 10 I have not hid <03680> thy righteousness <06666> within
  • <08432> my heart <03820>; I have declared <0559> thy
  • faithfulness <0530> and thy salvation <08668>: I have not
  • concealed <03582> thy lovingkindness <02617> and thy truth
  • <0571> from the great <07227> congregation <06951>.
  • 11. Withhold <03607> not thou thy tender mercies <07356> from
  • me, O LORD <03068>: let thy lovingkindness <02617> and thy truth
  • <0571> continually <08544> preserve <05341> me.
  • 12 For innumerable evils <07451> have compassed <0661> me
  • about: mine iniquities <05771> have taken <05381> hold <05381>
  • upon me, so that I am not able <03201> to look <07200> up; they
  • are more <06105> than the hairs <08185> of mine head <07218>:
  • therefore my heart <03820> faileth <05800> me.
  • 13 Be pleased <07521>, O LORD <03068>, to deliver <05337> me:
  • O LORD <03068>, make haste <02363> to help <05833> me.
  • 14 Let them be ashamed <0954> and confounded <02659> together
  • <03162> that seek <01245> after my soul <05315> to destroy
  • <05595> it; let them be driven <05472> backward <0268> and put
  • to shame <03637> that wish <02655> me evil <07451>.
  • 15 Let them be desolate <08074> for a reward <06118> of their
  • shame <01322> that say <0559> unto me, Aha <0253>, aha <0253>.
  • 16 Let all <03605> those that seek <01245> thee rejoice
  • <07797> and be glad <08056> in thee: let such as love <0157> thy
  • salvation <08668> say <0559> continually <08548>, The LORD
  • <03068> be magnified <01431>.
  • 17 But I [am] poor <06041> and needy <034>; [yet] the Lord
  • <0136> thinketh <02803> upon me: thou [art] my help <05833> and
  • my deliverer <06403>; make no <0408> tarrying <0309>, O my God
  • <0430>.
  • Psalms 41
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329>, A Psalm <04210> of David
  • <01732>. Blessed <0835> [is] he that considereth <07919> the
  • poor <01800>: the LORD <03068> will deliver <04422> him in time
  • <03117> of trouble <07451>.
  • 2 The LORD <03068> will preserve <08104> him, and keep him
  • alive <02421>; [and] he shall be blessed <0833> upon the earth
  • <0776>: and thou wilt not deliver <05414> him unto the will
  • <05315> of his enemies <0341>.
  • 3 The LORD <03068> will strengthen <05582> him upon the bed
  • <06210> of languishing <01741>: thou wilt make <02015> all
  • <03605> his bed <04904> in his sickness <02483>.
  • 4 I said <0559>, LORD <03068>, be merciful <02603> unto me:
  • heal <07495> my soul <05315>; for I have sinned <02398> against
  • thee.
  • 5. Mine enemies <0341> speak <0559> evil <07451> of me, When
  • <04970> shall he die <04191>, and his name <08034> perish <06>?
  • 6 And if <0518> he come <0935> to see <07200> [me], he
  • speaketh <01696> vanity <07723>: his heart <03820> gathereth
  • <06908> iniquity <0205> to itself; [when] he goeth <03318>
  • abroad <02351>, he telleth <01696> [it].
  • 7 All <03605> that hate <08130> me whisper <03907> together
  • <03162> against <05921> me: against <05921> me do they devise
  • <02803> my hurt <07451>.
  • 8 An evil <01100> disease <01697>, [say they], cleaveth
  • <03332> fast unto him: and [now] that he lieth <07901> he shall
  • rise <06965> up no <03808> more <03254>.
  • 9 Yea <01571>, mine own familiar <07965> friend, in whom
  • <0834> I trusted <0982>, which did eat <0398> of my bread
  • <03899>, hath lifted <01431> up [his] heel <06119> against
  • <05921> me.
  • 10 But thou, O LORD <03068>, be merciful <02603> unto me, and
  • raise <06965> me up, that I may requite <07999> them.
  • 11 By this <02063> I know <03045> that thou favourest <02654>
  • me, because <03588> mine enemy <0341> doth not triumph <07321>
  • over <05921> me.
  • 12 And as for me, thou upholdest <08551> me in mine integrity
  • <08537>, and settest <05324> me before thy face <06440> for ever
  • <05769>.
  • 13 Blessed <01288> [be] the LORD <03068> God <0430> of Israel
  • <03478> from everlasting <05769>, and to everlasting <05769>.
  • Amen <0543>, and Amen <0543>.
  • Psalms 42
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329>, Maschil <07919>, for the sons
  • <01121> of Korah <07141>. As the hart <0354> panteth <06165>
  • after <05921> the water <04325> brooks <0650>, so <03651>
  • panteth <06165> my soul <05315> after <0413> thee, O God <0430>.
  • 2 My soul <05315> thirsteth <06770> for God <0430>, for the
  • living <02416> God <0410>: when <04970> shall I come <0935> and
  • appear <07200> before <06440> God <0430>?
  • 3 My tears <01832> have been <01961> my meat <03899> day
  • <03119> and night <03915>, while they continually say <0559>
  • unto me, Where <0346> [is] thy God <0430>?
  • 4 When I remember <02142> these <0428> [things], I pour
  • <08210> out my soul <05315> in me: for I had gone <05674> with
  • the multitude <05519>, I went <01718> with them to the house
  • <01004> of God <0430>, with the voice <06963> of joy <07440> and
  • praise <08426>, with a multitude <01995> that kept <02287>
  • holyday <02287>.
  • 5 Why art thou cast <07817> down <07817>, O my soul <05315>?
  • and [why] art thou disquieted <01993> in me? hope <03176> thou
  • in God <0430>: for I shall yet <05750> praise <03034> him [for]
  • the help <03444> of his countenance <06440>.
  • 6. O my God <0430>, my soul <05315> is cast <07817> down
  • <07817> within <05921> me: therefore will I remember <02142>
  • thee from the land <0776> of Jordan <03383>, and of the

  • 7 Deep <08415> calleth <07121> unto deep <08415> at the noise
  • <06963> of thy waterspouts <06794>: all <03605> thy waves
  • <04867> and thy billows <01530> are gone <05674> over <05921> me.
  • 8 [Yet] the LORD <03068> will command <06680> his

  • his song <07892> [shall be] with me, [and] my prayer <08605>

  • <04100> hast thou forgotten <07911> me? why <04100> go <03212> I
  • mourning <06937> because of the oppression <03906> of the enemy
  • <0341>?
  • 10 [As] with a sword <07524> in my bones <06106>, mine enemies
  • <06887> reproach <02778> me; while they say <0559> daily unto me,
  • Where <0346> [is] thy God <0430>?
  • 11 Why <04100> art thou cast <07817> down <07817>, O my soul
  • <05315>? and why <04100> art thou disquieted <01993> within
  • <05921> me? hope <03176> thou in God <0430>: for I shall yet
  • <05750> praise <03034> him, [who is] the health <03444> of my
  • countenance <06440>, and my God <0430>.
  • Psalms 43
  • 1. Judge <08199> me, O God <0430>, and plead <07378> my cause
  • <07379> against an ungodly nation <01471>: O deliver <06403> me
  • from the deceitful <04820> and unjust <05766> man <0376>.
  • 2 For thou [art] the God <0430> of my strength <04581>: why
  • <04100> dost thou cast <02186> me off? why <04100> go <01980> I
  • mourning <06937> because of the oppression <03906> of the enemy
  • <0341>?
  • 3 O send <07971> out thy light <0216> and thy truth <0571>:
  • let them lead <05148> me; let them bring <0935> me unto thy holy
  • <06944> hill <02022>, and to thy tabernacles <04908>.
  • 4 Then will I go <0935> unto the altar <04196> of God <0430>,
  • unto God <0410> my exceeding <08057> joy <01524>: yea, upon the

  • <0430>.
  • 5 Why <04100> art thou cast <07817> down <07817>, O my soul
  • <05315>? and why <04100> art thou disquieted <01993> within
  • <05921> me? hope <03176> in God <0430>: for I shall yet <05750>
  • praise <03034> him, [who is] the health <03444> of my
  • countenance <06440>, and my God <0430>.
  • Psalms 44
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329> for the sons <01121> of Korah
  • <07141>, Maschil <07919>. We have heard <08085> with our ears
  • <0241>, O God <0430>, our fathers <01> have told <05608> us,
  • [what] work <06467> thou didst <06466> in their days <03117>, in
  • the times <03117> of old <06924>.
  • 2 [How] thou didst drive <03423> out the heathen <01471> with
  • thy hand <03027>, and plantedst <05193> them; [how] thou didst
  • afflict <07489> the people <03816>, and cast <07971> them out.
  • 3 For they got <03423> not the land <0776> in possession
  • <03423> by their own sword <02719>, neither <03808> did their
  • own arm <02220> save <03467> them: but thy right <03225> hand
  • <03225>, and thine arm <02220>, and the light <0216> of thy
  • countenance <06440>, because <03588> thou hadst a favour <07520>
  • unto them.
  • 4 Thou art my King <04428>, O God <0430>: command <06680>
  • deliverances <03444> for Jacob <03290>.
  • 5 Through thee will we push <05055> down our enemies <06862>:
  • through thy name <08034> will we tread <0947> them under that
  • rise <06965> up against us.
  • 6 For I will not trust <0982> in my bow <07198>, neither
  • <03808> shall my sword <02719> save <03467> me.
  • 7 But thou hast saved <03467> us from our enemies <06862>, and
  • hast put them to shame <0954> that hated <08130> us.
  • 8 In God <0430> we boast <01984> all <03605> the day <03117>
  • long, and praise <03034> thy name <08034> for ever <05769>.
  • Selah <05542>.
  • 9. But thou hast cast <02186> off, and put us to shame <03637>;
  • and goest <03318> not forth <03318> with our armies <06635>.
  • 10 Thou makest us to turn <07725> back <0268> from the enemy
  • <06862>: and they which hate <08130> us spoil <08154> for
  • themselves.
  • 11 Thou hast given <05414> us like sheep <06629> [appointed]
  • for meat <03978>; and hast scattered <02219> us among the
  • heathen <01471>.
  • 12 Thou sellest <04376> thy people <05971> for nought, and
  • dost not increase <07235> [thy wealth] by their price <04242>.
  • 13 Thou makest <06213> us a reproach <02781> to our neighbours
  • <07934>, a scorn <03933> and a derision <07047> to them that are
  • round <05439> about us.
  • 14 Thou makest <06213> us a byword <04912> among the heathen
  • <01471>, a shaking <04493> of the head <07218> among the people
  • <03816>.
  • 15 My confusion <03639> [is] continually before <05048> me,
  • and the shame <01322> of my face <06440> hath covered <03680> me,
  • 16 For the voice <06963> of him that reproacheth <02778> and
  • blasphemeth <01442>; by reason <06440> of the enemy <0341> and
  • avenger <05358>.
  • 17. All <03605> this <02063> is come <0935> upon us; yet have
  • we not forgotten <07911> thee, neither <03808> have we dealt
  • falsely <08266> in thy covenant <01285>.
  • 18 Our heart <03820> is not turned <05472> back <0268>,
  • neither have our steps <0838> declined <05186> from thy way
  • <0734>;
  • 19 Though <03588> thou hast sore broken <01794> us in the
  • place <04725> of dragons <08577>, and covered <03680> us with
  • the shadow <06757> of death <06757>.
  • 20 If <0518> we have forgotten <07911> the name <08034> of our
  • God <0430>, or stretched <06566> out our hands <03709> to a
  • strange <02114> god <0430>;
  • 21 Shall not God <0430> search <02713> this <02063> out? for
  • he knoweth <03045> the secrets <08587> of the heart <03820>.
  • 22 Yea <03588>, for thy sake are we killed <02026> all <03605>
  • the day <03117> long; we are counted <02803> as sheep <06629>
  • for the slaughter <02878>.
  • 23 Awake <05782>, why <04100> sleepest <03462> thou, O Lord
  • <0136>? arise <06974>, cast <02186> [us] not off for ever
  • <05331>.
  • 24 Wherefore <04100> hidest <05641> thou thy face <06440>,
  • [and] forgettest <07911> our affliction <06040> and our
  • oppression <03906>?
  • 25 For our soul <05315> is bowed <07743> down <07743> to the
  • dust <06083>: our belly <0990> cleaveth <01692> unto the earth
  • <0776>.
  • 26 Arise <06965> for our help <05833>, and redeem <06299> us
  • for thy mercies <02617>' sake <04616>.
  • Psalms 45
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329> upon Shoshannim <07799>, for
  • the sons <01121> of Korah <07141>, Maschil <07919>, A Song
  • <07892> of loves <03039>. My heart <03820> is inditing <07370> a
  • good <02896> matter <01697>: I speak <0559> of the things which
  • I have made <04639> touching the king <04428>: my tongue <03956>
  • [is] the pen <05842> of a ready <04106> writer <05608>.
  • 2 Thou art fairer <03302> than the children <01121> of men
  • <0120>: grace <02580> is poured <03332> into thy lips <08193>:
  • therefore God <0430> hath blessed <01288> thee for ever <05769>.
  • 3 Gird <02296> thy sword <02719> upon [thy] thigh <03409>, O
  • [most] mighty <01368>, with thy glory <01935> and thy majesty
  • <01926>.
  • 4 And in thy majesty <01926> ride <07392> prosperously <06743>
  • because of truth <0571> and meekness <06037> [and] righteousness
  • <06664>; and thy right <03225> hand <03225> shall teach <03384>
  • thee terrible <03372> things.
  • 5 Thine arrows <02671> [are] sharp <08150> in the heart
  • <03820> of the king's <04428> enemies <0341>; [whereby] the
  • people <05971> fall <05307> under <08478> thee.
  • 6. Thy throne <03678>, O God <0430>, [is] for ever <05769> and
  • ever <05703>: the sceptre <07626> of thy kingdom <04438> [is] a
  • right <04334> sceptre <07626>.
  • 7 Thou lovest <0157> righteousness <06664>, and hatest <08130>
  • wickedness <07562>: therefore God <0430>, thy God <0430>, hath
  • anointed <04886> thee with the oil <08081> of gladness <08342>
  • above thy fellows <02270>.
  • 8 All <03605> thy garments <0899> [smell] of myrrh <04753>,
  • and aloes <0174>, [and] cassia <07102>, out of the ivory <08127>
  • palaces <01964>, whereby <04482> they have made thee glad
  • <08056>.
  • 9 Kings <04428>' daughters <01121> [were] among thy honourable
  • <03368> women: upon thy right <03225> hand <03225> did stand
  • <05324> the queen <07694> in gold <03800> of Ophir <0211>.
  • 10. Hearken <08085>, O daughter <01323>, and consider <07200>,
  • and incline <05186> thine ear <0241>; forget <07911> also thine
  • own people <05971>, and thy father's <01> house <01004>;
  • 11 So shall the king <04428> greatly desire <0183> thy beauty
  • <03308>: for he [is] thy Lord <0113>; and worship <07812> thou
  • him.
  • 12 And the daughter <01323> of Tyre <06865> [shall be there]
  • with a gift <04503>; [even] the rich <06223> among the people
  • <05971> shall intreat <02470> thy favour <06440>.
  • 13 The king's <04428> daughter <01323> [is] all <03605>
  • glorious <03520> within <06441>: her clothing <03830> [is] of
  • wrought <04865> gold <02091>.
  • 14 She shall be brought <02986> unto the king <04428> in
  • raiment <07553> of needlework <07553>: the virgins <01330> her
  • companions <07464> that follow <0310> her shall be brought
  • <0935> unto thee.
  • 15 With gladness <08057> and rejoicing <01524> shall they be
  • brought <02986>: they shall enter <0935> into the king's <04428>
  • palace <01964>.
  • 16 Instead <08478> of thy fathers <01> shall be thy children
  • <01121>, whom thou mayest make princes <08269> in all <03605>
  • the earth <0776>.
  • 17 I will make thy name <08034> to be remembered <02142> in
  • all <03605> generations <01755>: therefore shall the people
  • <05971> praise <03034> thee for ever <05769> and ever <05703>.
  • Psalms 46
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329> for the sons <01121> of Korah
  • <07141>, A Song <07892> upon Alamoth <05921> <05961>. God <0430>
  • [is] our refuge <04268> and strength <05797>, a very <03966>
  • present <04672> help <05833> in trouble <06869>.
  • 2 Therefore will not we fear <03372>, though the earth <0776>
  • be removed <04171>, and though the mountains <02022> be carried
  • <04131> into the midst <03820> of the sea <03220>;
  • 3 [Though] the waters <04325> thereof roar <01993> [and] be
  • troubled <02560>, [though] the mountains <02022> shake <07493>
  • with the swelling <01346> thereof. Selah <05542>.
  • 4 [There is] a river <05104>, the streams <06388> whereof
  • shall make glad <08056> the city <05892> of God <0430>, the holy
  • <06918> [place] of the tabernacles <04908> of the most <05945>
  • High <05945>.
  • 5 God <0430> [is] in the midst <07130> of her; she shall not
  • be moved <04131>: God <0430> shall help <05826> her, [and that]
  • right <06437> early <01242>.
  • 6. The heathen <01471> raged <01993>, the kingdoms <04467> were
  • moved <04131>: he uttered <05414> his voice <06963>, the earth
  • <0776> melted <04127>.
  • 7 The LORD <03068> of hosts <06635> [is] with us; the God
  • <0430> of Jacob <03290> [is] our refuge <04869>. Selah <05542>.
  • 8 Come <03212>, behold <02372> the works <04659> of the LORD
  • <03068>, what <0834> desolations <08047> he hath made <07760> in
  • the earth <0776>.
  • 9 He maketh wars <04421> to cease <07673> unto the end <07097>
  • of the earth <0776>; he breaketh <07665> the bow <07198>, and
  • cutteth <07112> the spear <02595> in sunder; he burneth <08313>
  • the chariot <05699> in the fire <0784>.
  • 10 Be still <07503>, and know <03045> that I [am] God <0430>:
  • I will be exalted <07311> among the heathen <01471>, I will be
  • exalted <07311> in the earth <0776>.
  • 11 The LORD <03068> of hosts <06635> [is] with us; the God
  • <0430> of Jacob <03290> [is] our refuge <04869>. Selah <05542>.
  • Psalms 47
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329>, A Psalm <04210> for the sons
  • <01121> of Korah <07141>. O clap <08628> your hands <03709>, all
  • <03605> ye people <05971>; shout <07321> unto God <0430> with
  • the voice <06963> of triumph <07440>.
  • 2 For the LORD <03068> most <05945> high <05945> [is] terrible
  • <03372>; [he is] a great <01419> King <04428> over <05921> all
  • <03605> the earth <0776>.
  • 3 He shall subdue <01696> the people <05971> under <08478> us,
  • and the nations <03816> under <08478> our feet <07272>.
  • 4 He shall choose <0977> our inheritance <05159> for us, the
  • excellency <01347> of Jacob <03290> whom <0834> he loved <0157>.
  • Selah <05542>.
  • 5. God <0430> is gone <05927> up with a shout <08643>, the LORD
  • <03068> with the sound <06963> of a trumpet <07782>.
  • 6 Sing <02167> praises to God <0430>, sing <02167> praises:
  • sing <02167> praises unto our King <04428>, sing <02167> praises.
  • 7 For God <0430> [is] the King <04428> of all <03605> the
  • earth <0776>: sing <02167> ye praises with understanding <07919>.
  • 8 God <0430> reigneth <04427> over <05921> the heathen <01471>:
  • God <0430> sitteth <03427> upon the throne <03678> of his
  • holiness <06944>.
  • 9 The princes <05081> of the people <05971> are gathered
  • <0622> together <03162>, [even] the people <05971> of the God
  • <0430> of Abraham <085>: for the shields <04043> of the earth
  • <0776> [belong] unto God <0430>: he is greatly <03966> exalted
  • <05927>.
  • Psalms 48
  • 1. A Song <07892> [and] Psalm <04210> for the sons <01121> of
  • Korah <07141>. Great <01419> [is] the LORD <03068>, and greatly
  • <03966> to be praised <01984> in the city <05892> of our God
  • <0430>, [in] the mountain <02022> of his holiness <06944>.
  • 2 Beautiful <03303> for situation <05131>, the joy <04885> of
  • the whole <03605> earth <0776>, [is] mount <02022> Zion <06726>,
  • [on] the sides <03411> of the north <06828>, the city <07151> of
  • the great <07227> King <04428>.
  • 3 God <0430> is known <03045> in her palaces <0759> for a
  • refuge <04869>.
  • 4 For, lo <02009>, the kings <04428> were assembled <03259>,
  • they passed <05674> by together <03162>.
  • 5 They saw <07200> [it, and] so <03651> they marvelled <08539>;
  • they were troubled <0926>, [and] hasted <02648> away.
  • 6 Fear <07461> took hold <0270> upon them there <08033>, [and]
  • pain <02427>, as of a woman in travail <03205>.
  • 7 Thou breakest <07665> the ships <0591> of Tarshish <08659>
  • with an east <06921> wind <07307>.
  • 8. As we have heard <08085>, so <03651> have we seen <07200> in
  • the city <05892> of the LORD <03068> of hosts <06635>, in the
  • city <05892> of our God <0430>: God <0430> will establish
  • <03559> it for ever <05769>. Selah <05542>.
  • 9 We have thought <01819> of thy lovingkindness <02617>, O God
  • <0430>, in the midst <07130> of thy temple <01964>.
  • 10 According to thy name <08034>, O God <0430>, so <03651>
  • [is] thy praise <08416> unto the ends <07099> of the earth
  • <0776>: thy right <03225> hand <03225> is full <04390> of
  • righteousness <06664>.
  • 11 Let mount <02022> Zion <06726> rejoice <08055>, let the
  • daughters <01121> of Judah <03063> be glad <01528>, because
  • <04616> of thy judgments <04941>.
  • 12 Walk <05437> about <05439> Zion <06726>, and go <05362>
  • round <05362> about <05439> her: tell <05608> the towers <04026>
  • thereof.
  • 13 Mark <07896> ye well her bulwarks <02430>, consider <06448>

  • 14 For this <02088> God <0430> [is] our God <0430> for ever

  • Psalms 49
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329>, A Psalm <04210> for the sons
  • <01121> of Korah <07141>. Hear <08085> this <02063>, all <03605>
  • [ye] people <05971>; give ear <0238>, all <03605> [ye]
  • inhabitants <03427> of the world <02465>:
  • 2 Both <01571> low <0120> and high <0376>, rich <06223> and
  • poor <034>, together <03162>.
  • 3 My mouth <06310> shall speak <01696> of wisdom <02454>; and
  • the meditation <01900> of my heart <03820> [shall be] of
  • understanding <08394>.
  • 4 I will incline <05186> mine ear <0241> to a parable <04912>:
  • I will open <06605> my dark <02420> saying <02420> upon the harp
  • <03658>.
  • 5 Wherefore <04100> should I fear <03372> in the days <03117>
  • of evil <07451>, [when] the iniquity <05771> of my heels <06120>
  • shall compass <05437> me about?
  • 6. They that trust <0982> in their wealth <02428>, and boast
  • <01984> themselves in the multitude <07230> of their riches
  • <06239>;
  • 7 None [of them] can by any means redeem <06299> his brother
  • <0251>, nor <03808> give <05414> to God <0430> a ransom <03724>
  • for him:
  • 8 (For the redemption <06306> of their soul <05315> [is]
  • precious <03365>, and it ceaseth <02308> for ever <05769>:)
  • 9 That he should still <05750> live <02421> for ever <05331>,
  • [and] not see <07200> corruption <07845>.
  • 10 For he seeth <07200> [that] wise <02450> men die <04191>,
  • likewise the fool <03684> and the brutish <01197> person perish
  • <06>, and leave <05800> their wealth <02428> to others <0312>.
  • 11 Their inward <07130> thought [is, that] their houses
  • <01004> [shall continue] for ever <05769>, [and] their dwelling
  • <04908> places to all generations <01755>; they call <07121>
  • [their] lands <0127> after their own names <08034>.
  • 12 Nevertheless man <0120> [being] in honour <03366> abideth
  • <03885> not: he is like <04911> the beasts <0929> [that] perish
  • <01820>.
  • 13 This <02088> their way <01870> [is] their folly <03689>:

  • 14 Like sheep <06629> they are laid <08371> in the grave
  • <07585>; death <04194> shall feed <07462> on them; and the

  • in the grave <07585> from their dwelling <02073>.
  • 15. But God <0430> will redeem <06299> my soul <05315> from the

  • O LORD <03068>.
  • 4 They run <07323> and prepare <03559> themselves without [my]

  • 5 Thou therefore, O LORD <03068> God <0430> of hosts <06635>,
  • the God <0430> of Israel <03478>, awake <06974> to visit <06485>
  • all <03605> the heathen <01471>: be not merciful <02603> to any

  • 6 They return <07725> at evening <06153>: they make a noise

  • 16 But I will sing <07891> of thy power <05797>; yea, I will
  • sing <07442> aloud <07442> of thy mercy <02617> in the morning
  • <01242>: for thou hast been <01961> my defence <04869> and

  • 17 Unto thee, O my strength <05797>, will I sing <02167>: for

  • 1. A Psalm <04210> of David <01732>, when he was <01961> in the
  • wilderness <04057> of Judah <03063>. O God <0430>, thou [art] my
  • God <0410>; early <07836> will I seek <07836> thee: my soul
  • <05315> thirsteth <06770> for thee, my flesh <01320> longeth
  • <03642> for thee in a dry <06723> and thirsty land <0776>, where
  • no <01097> water <04325> is;
  • 2 To see <07200> thy power <05797> and thy glory <03519>, so
  • <03651> [as] I have seen <02372> thee in the sanctuary <06944>.
  • 3. Because <03588> thy lovingkindness <02617> [is] better
  • <02896> than life <02416>, my lips <08193> shall praise <07623>
  • thee.
  • 4 Thus <03651> will I bless <01288> thee while I live <02416>:
  • I will lift <05375> up my hands <03709> in thy name <08034>.
  • 5 My soul <05315> shall be satisfied <07646> as [with] marrow
  • <02459> and fatness <01880>; and my mouth <06310> shall praise
  • <01984> [thee] with joyful <07445> lips <08193>:
  • 6 When <0518> I remember <02142> thee upon my bed <03326>,
  • [and] meditate <01897> on thee in the [night] watches <0821>.
  • 7. Because <03588> thou hast been <01961> my help <05833>,
  • therefore in the shadow <06738> of thy wings <03671> will I
  • rejoice <07442>.
  • 8 My soul <05315> followeth <01692> hard <01692> after <0310>
  • thee: thy right <03225> hand <03225> upholdeth <08551> me.
  • 9 But those [that] seek <01245> my soul <05315>, to destroy
  • <07722> [it], shall go <0935> into the lower <08482> parts of
  • the earth <0776>.
  • 10 They shall fall <05064> by the sword <02719>: they shall be
  • a portion <04521> for foxes <07776>.
  • 11 But the king <04428> shall rejoice <08055> in God <0430>;
  • every <03605> one that sweareth <07650> by him shall glory
  • <01984>: but the mouth <06310> of them that speak <01696> lies
  • <08267> shall be stopped <05534>.
  • Psalms 64
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329>, A Psalm <04210> of David
  • <01732>. Hear <08085> my voice <06963>, O God <0430>, in my
  • prayer <07879>: preserve <05341> my life <02416> from fear
  • <06343> of the enemy <0341>.
  • 2 Hide <05641> me from the secret <05475> counsel <05475> of
  • the wicked <07489>; from the insurrection <07285> of the workers
  • <06466> of iniquity <0205>:
  • 3 Who <0834> whet <08150> their tongue <03956> like a sword
  • <02719>, [and] bend <01869> [their bows to shoot] their arrows
  • <02671>, [even] bitter <04751> words <01697>:
  • 4 That they may shoot <03384> in secret <04565> at the perfect
  • <08535>: suddenly <06597> do they shoot <03384> at him, and fear
  • <03372> not.
  • 5 They encourage <02388> themselves [in] an evil <07451>
  • matter <01697>: they commune <05608> of laying <02934> snares
  • <04170> privily <02934>; they say <0559>, Who <04310> shall see
  • <07200> them?
  • 6 They search <02664> out iniquities <05766>; they accomplish
  • <08552> a diligent search <02665>: both the inward <07130>
  • [thought] of every <0376> one <0376> [of them], and the heart
  • <03820>, [is] deep <06013>.
  • 7. But God <0430> shall shoot <03384> at them [with] an arrow
  • <02671>; suddenly <06597> shall they be wounded <04347>.
  • 8 So they shall make their own tongue <03956> to fall <03782>
  • upon themselves: all <03605> that see <07200> them shall flee
  • <05074> away.
  • 9 And all <03605> men <0120> shall fear <03372>, and shall
  • declare <05046> the work <06467> of God <0430>; for they shall
  • wisely <07919> consider <07919> of his doing <04640>.
  • 10 The righteous <06662> shall be glad <08056> in the LORD
  • <03068>, and shall trust <02620> in him; and all <03605> the
  • upright <03477> in heart <03820> shall glory <01984>.
  • Psalms 65
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329>, A Psalm <04210> [and] Song
  • <07892> of David <01732>. Praise <08416> waiteth <01747> for
  • thee, O God <0430>, in Sion <06726>: and unto thee shall the vow
  • <05088> be performed <07999>.
  • 2 O thou that hearest <08085> prayer <08605>, unto thee shall
  • all <03605> flesh <01320> come <0935>.
  • 3 Iniquities prevail <01396> against me: [as for] our
  • transgressions <06588>, thou shalt purge <03722> them away.
  • 4 Blessed <0835> [is the man whom] thou choosest <0977>, and
  • causest to approach <07126> [unto thee, that] he may dwell
  • <07931> in thy courts <02691>: we shall be satisfied <07646>
  • with the goodness <02898> of thy house <01004>, [even] of thy
  • holy <06918> temple <01964>.
  • 5 [By] terrible <03372> things in righteousness <06664> wilt
  • thou answer <06030> us, O God <0430> of our salvation <03468>;
  • [who art] the confidence <04009> of all <03605> the ends <07099>
  • of the earth <0776>, and of them that are afar <07350> off
  • [upon] the sea <03220>:
  • 6. Which by his strength <03581> setteth <03559> fast the
  • mountains <02022>; [being] girded <0247> with power <01369>:
  • 7 Which stilleth <07623> the noise <07588> of the seas <03220>,
  • the noise <07588> of their waves <01530>, and the tumult
  • <01995> of the people <03816>.
  • 8 They also that dwell <03427> in the uttermost <07098> parts
  • are afraid <03372> at thy tokens <0226>: thou makest the
  • outgoings <04161> of the morning <01242> and evening <06153> to
  • rejoice <07442>.
  • 9 Thou visitest <06485> the earth <0776>, and waterest <07783>
  • it: thou greatly <07227> enrichest <06238> it with the river
  • <05104> of God <0430>, [which] is full <04390> of water <04325>:
  • thou preparest <03559> them corn <01715>, when thou hast so
  • <03651> provided <03559> for it.
  • 10 Thou waterest <07301> the ridges <08525> thereof abundantly
  • <07301>: thou settlest <05181> the furrows <01417> thereof: thou
  • makest it soft <04127> with showers <07241>: thou blessest
  • <01288> the springing <06780> thereof.
  • 11 Thou crownest <05849> the year <08141> with thy goodness
  • <02896>; and thy paths <04570> drop <07491> fatness <01880>.
  • 12 They drop <07491> [upon] the pastures <04999> of the
  • wilderness <04057>: and the little hills <01389> rejoice <01524>
  • on every side <02296>.
  • 13 The pastures <03733> are clothed <03847> with flocks
  • <06629>; the valleys <06010> also are covered <05848> over
  • <05948> with corn <01250>; they shout <07321> for joy, they also
  • <0637> sing <07891>.
  • Psalms 66
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329>, A Song <07892> [or] Psalm
  • <04210>. Make a joyful <07321> noise <07321> unto God <0430>,
  • all <03605> ye lands <0776>:
  • 2 Sing <02167> forth the honour <03519> of his name <08034>:
  • make <07760> his praise <08416> glorious <03519>.
  • 3 Say <0559> unto God <0430>, How <04100> terrible <03372>
  • [art thou in] thy works <04639>! through the greatness <07230>
  • of thy power <05797> shall thine enemies <0341> submit <03584>
  • themselves unto thee.
  • 4 All <03605> the earth <0776> shall worship <07812> thee, and
  • shall sing <02167> unto thee; they shall sing <02167> [to] thy
  • name <08034>. Selah <05542>.
  • 5 Come <03212> and see <07200> the works <04659> of God <0430>:
  • [he is] terrible <03372> [in his] doing <05949> toward <05921>
  • the children <01121> of men <0120>.
  • 6 He turned <02015> the sea <03220> into dry <03004> [land
  • <0776>]: they went <05674> through the flood <05104> on foot
  • <07272>: there <08033> did we rejoice <08055> in him.
  • 7 He ruleth <04910> by his power <01369> for ever <05769>; his
  • eyes <05869> behold <06822> the nations <01471>: let not the
  • rebellious <05637> exalt <07311> themselves. Selah <05542>.
  • 8. O bless <01288> our God <0430>, ye people <05971>, and make
  • the voice <06963> of his praise <08416> to be heard <08085>:
  • 9 Which holdeth <07760> our soul <05315> in life <02416>, and
  • suffereth <05414> not our feet <07373> to be moved <04132>.
  • 10 For thou, O God <0430>, hast proved <0974> us: thou hast
  • tried <06884> us, as silver <03701> is tried <06884>.
  • 11 Thou broughtest <0935> us into the net <04685>; thou laidst
  • <07760> affliction <04157> upon our loins <04975>.
  • 12 Thou hast caused men <0582> to ride <07392> over our heads
  • <07218>; we went <0935> through fire <0784> and through water
  • <04325>: but thou broughtest <03318> us out into a wealthy
  • <07310> [place].
  • 13. I will go <0935> into thy house <01004> with burnt <05930>
  • offerings: I will pay <07999> thee my vows <05088>,
  • 14 Which <0834> my lips <08193> have uttered <04475>, and my
  • mouth <06310> hath spoken <01696>, when I was in trouble <06862>.
  • 15 I will offer <05927> unto thee burnt <05930> sacrifices of
  • fatlings <04220>, with the incense <07004> of rams <0352>; I
  • will offer <06213> bullocks <01241> with goats <06260>. Selah
  • <05542>.
  • 16 Come <03212> [and] hear, all <03605> ye that fear <03373>
  • God <0430>, and I will declare <05608> what <0834> he hath done
  • <06213> for my soul <05315>.
  • 17 I cried <07121> unto him with my mouth <06310>, and he was
  • extolled <07318> with my tongue <03956>.
  • 18 If <0518> I regard <07200> iniquity <0205> in my heart
  • <03820>, the Lord <0136> will not hear <08085> [me]:
  • 19 [But] verily <0403> God <0430> hath heard <08085> [me]; he
  • hath attended <07181> to the voice <06963> of my prayer <08605>.
  • 20 Blessed <01288> [be] God <0430>, which <0834> hath not
  • turned <05493> away my prayer <08605>, nor his mercy <02617>
  • from me.
  • Psalms 67
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329> on Neginoth <05058>, A Psalm
  • <04210> [or] Song <07892>. God <0430> be merciful <02603> unto
  • us, and bless <01288> us; [and] cause his face <06440> to shine
  • <0215> upon us; Selah <05542>.
  • 2 That thy way <01870> may be known <03045> upon earth <0776>,
  • thy saving <03444> health among all <03605> nations <01471>.
  • 3 Let the people <05971> praise <03034> thee, O God <0430>;
  • let all <03605> the people <05971> praise <03034> thee.
  • 4 O let the nations <03816> be glad <08056> and sing <07442>
  • for joy: for thou shalt judge <08199> the people <05971>
  • righteously <04334>, and govern <05148> the nations <03816> upon
  • earth <0776>. Selah <05542>.
  • 5 Let the people <05971> praise <03034> thee, O God <0430>;
  • let all <03605> the people <05971> praise <03034> thee.
  • 6 [Then] shall the earth <0776> yield <05414> her increase
  • <02981>; [and] God <0430>, [even] our own God <0430>, shall
  • bless <01288> us.
  • 7 God <0430> shall bless <01288> us; and all <03605> the ends
  • <0657> of the earth <0776> shall fear <03372> him.
  • Psalms 68
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329>, A Psalm <04210> [or] Song
  • <07892> of David <01732>. Let God <0430> arise <06965>, let his
  • enemies <0341> be scattered <06327>: let them also that hate
  • <08130> him flee <05127> before <06440> him.
  • 2 As smoke <06227> is driven <05086> away, [so] drive <05086>
  • [them] away: as wax <01749> melteth <04549> before <06440> the
  • fire <0784>, [so] let the wicked <07563> perish <06> at the
  • presence <06440> of God <0430>.
  • 3 But let the righteous <06662> be glad <08056>; let them
  • rejoice <05970> before <06440> God <0430>: yea, let them
  • exceedingly <08057> rejoice <07797>.
  • 4 Sing <07891> unto God <0430>, sing <02167> praises to his
  • name <08034>: extol <05549> him that rideth <07392> upon the
  • heavens <06160> by his name <08034> JAH <03050>, and rejoice
  • <05937> before <06440> him.
  • 5 A father <01> of the fatherless <03490>, and a judge <01781>
  • of the widows <0490>, [is] God <0430> in his holy <06944>
  • habitation <04583>.
  • 6 God <0430> setteth <03427> the solitary <03173> in families
  • <01004>: he bringeth <03318> out those which are bound <0615>
  • with chains <03574>: but the rebellious <05637> dwell <07931> in
  • a dry <06707> [land].
  • 7. O God <0430>, when thou wentest <03318> forth <03318> before
  • <06440> thy people <05971>, when thou didst march <06805>
  • through the wilderness <03452>; Selah <05542>:
  • 8 The earth <0776> shook <07493>, the heavens <08064> also
  • <0637> dropped <05197> at the presence <06440> of God <0430>:
  • [even] Sinai <05514> itself <02088> [was moved] at the presence
  • <06440> of God <0430>, the God <0430> of Israel <03478>.
  • 9 Thou, O God <0430>, didst send <05130> a plentiful <05071>
  • rain <01653>, whereby thou didst confirm <03559> thine
  • inheritance <05159>, when it was weary <03811>.
  • 10 Thy congregation <02416> hath dwelt <03427> therein: thou,
  • O God <0430>, hast prepared <03559> of thy goodness <02896> for
  • the poor <06041>.
  • 11 The Lord <0136> gave <05414> the word <0562>: great <07227>
  • [was] the company <06635> of those that published <01319> [it].
  • 12 Kings <04428> of armies <06635> did flee <05074> apace: and
  • she that tarried <05116> at home <01004> divided <02505> the
  • spoil <07998>.
  • 13 Though <0518> ye have lien <07901> among <0996> the pots
  • <08240>, [yet shall ye be as] the wings <03671> of a dove
  • <03123> covered <02645> with silver <03701>, and her feathers
  • <084> with yellow <03422> gold <02742>.
  • 14 When the Almighty <07706> scattered <06566> kings <04428>

  • 15. The hill <02022> of God <0430> [is as] the hill <02022> of
  • Bashan <01316>; an high <01386> hill <02022> [as] the hill
  • <02022> of Bashan <01316>.
  • 16 Why <04100> leap <07520> ye, ye high <01386> hills <02022>?
  • [this is] the hill <02022> [which] God <0430> desireth <02530>
  • to dwell <03427> in; yea <0637>, the LORD <03068> will dwell
  • <07931> [in it] for ever <05331>.
  • 17 The chariots <07393> of God <0430> [are] twenty <07239>
  • thousand <07239>, [even] thousands <0505> of angels <08136>: the
  • Lord <0136> [is] among them, [as in] Sinai <05514>, in the holy
  • <06944> [place].
  • 18 Thou hast ascended <05927> on high <04791>, thou hast led
  • captivity <07628> captive <07617>: thou hast received <03947>
  • gifts <04979> for men <0120>; yea <0637>, [for] the rebellious
  • <05637> also <0637>, that the LORD <0136> God <0430> might dwell
  • <07931> [among them].
  • 19 Blessed <01288> [be] the Lord <0136>, [who] daily <03117>
  • loadeth <06006> us [with benefits, even] the God <0410> of our

  • 20 [He that is] our God <0410> [is] the God <0410> of
  • salvation <04190>; and unto GOD <03069> the Lord <0136> [belong]
  • the issues <08444> from death <04194>.
  • 21 But God <0430> shall wound <04272> the head <07218> of his
  • enemies <0341>, [and] the hairy <08181> scalp <06936> of such an
  • one as goeth <01980> on still in his trespasses <0817>.
  • 22. The Lord <0136> said <0559>, I will bring <07725> again
  • <07725> from Bashan <01316>, I will bring <07725> [my people]
  • again <07725> from the depths <04688> of the sea <03220>:
  • 23 That thy foot <07272> may be dipped <04272> in the blood
  • <01818> of [thine] enemies <0341>, [and] the tongue <03956> of
  • thy dogs <03611> in the same.
  • 24 They have seen <07200> thy goings <01979>, O God <0430>;
  • [even] the goings <01979> of my God <0410>, my King <04428>, in
  • the sanctuary <06944>.
  • 25 The singers <07891> went <06923> before <06924>, the
  • players <05059> on instruments [followed] after <0310>; among
  • <08432> [them were] the damsels <05959> playing with timbrels
  • <08608>.
  • 26 Bless <01288> ye God <0430> in the congregations <04721>,
  • [even] the Lord <0136>, from the fountain <04726> of Israel
  • <03478>.
  • 27 There <08033> [is] little <06810> Benjamin <01144> [with]
  • their ruler <07287>, the princes <08269> of Judah <03063> [and]
  • their council <07277>, the princes <08269> of Zebulun <02074>,
  • [and] the princes <08269> of Naphtali <05321>.
  • 28 Thy God <0430> hath commanded <06680> thy strength <05797>:
  • strengthen <05810>, O God <0430>, that which <02098> thou hast
  • wrought <06466> for us.
  • 29 Because of thy temple <01964> at <05921> Jerusalem <03389>
  • shall kings <04428> bring <02986> presents <07862> unto thee.

  • pieces <07518> of silver <03701>: scatter <0967> thou the people
  • <05971> [that] delight <02654> in war <07128>.
  • 31 Princes <02831> shall come <0857> out of Egypt <04714>;

  • 32. Sing <07891> unto God <0430>, ye kingdoms <04467> of the
  • earth <0776>; O sing <02167> praises unto the Lord <0136>; Selah
  • <05542>:
  • 33 To him that rideth <07392> upon the heavens <08064> of
  • heavens <08064>, [which were] of old <06924>; lo <02005>, he

  • <05797> voice <06963>.
  • 34 Ascribe <05414> ye strength <05797> unto God <0430>: his
  • excellency <01346> [is] over <05921> Israel <03478>, and his
  • strength <05797> [is] in the clouds <07834>.
  • 35 O God <0430>, [thou art] terrible <03372> out of thy holy
  • <04720> places: the God <0410> of Israel <03478> [is] he that

  • Psalms 69
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329> upon Shoshannim <07999>, [A
  • Psalm] of David <01732>. Save <03467> me, O God <0430>; for the
  • waters <04325> are come <0935> in unto [my] soul <05315>.
  • 2 I sink <02883> in deep <04688> mire <03121>, where [there
  • is] no <0369> standing <04613>: I am come <0935> into deep
  • <04615> waters <04325>, where the floods <07641> overflow
  • <07857> me.
  • 3 I am weary <03021> of my crying <07121>: my throat <01627>
  • is dried <02787>: mine eyes <05869> fail <03615> while I wait
  • <03176> for my God <0430>.
  • 4 They that hate <08130> me without <02600> a cause <02600>
  • are more <07231> than the hairs <08185> of mine head <07218>:
  • they that would destroy <06789> me, [being] mine enemies <0341>
  • wrongfully <08267>, are mighty <05105>: then <0227> I restored
  • <07725> [that] which <0834> I took <01497> not away <01497>.
  • 5 O God <0430>, thou knowest <03045> my foolishness <0200>;
  • and my sins <0819> are not hid <03582> from thee.
  • 6 Let not them that wait <06960> on thee, O Lord <0136> GOD
  • <03069> of hosts <06635>, be ashamed <0954> for my sake: let not
  • those that seek <01245> thee be confounded <03637> for my sake,
  • O God <0430> of Israel <03478>.
  • 7 Because <03588> for thy sake <04616> I have borne <05375>
  • reproach <02781>; shame <03639> hath covered <03680> my face
  • <06440>.
  • 8 I am become <01961> a stranger <02114> unto my brethren
  • <0251>, and an alien <05237> unto my mother's <0517> children
  • <01121>.
  • 9 For the zeal <07068> of thine house <01004> hath eaten
  • <0398> me up; and the reproaches <02781> of them that reproached
  • <02778> thee are fallen <05307> upon me.
  • 10 When I wept <01058>, [and chastened] my soul <05315> with
  • fasting <06685>, that was to my reproach <02781>.
  • 11 I made <05414> sackcloth <08242> also my garment <03830>;
  • and I became <01961> a proverb <04912> to them.
  • 12 They that sit <03427> in the gate <08179> speak <07878>
  • against me; and I [was] the song <05058> of the drunkards.
  • 13. But as for me, my prayer <08605> [is] unto thee, O LORD
  • <03068>, [in] an acceptable <07522> time <06256>: O God <0430>,
  • in the multitude <07230> of thy mercy <02617> hear <06030> me,
  • in the truth <0571> of thy salvation <03468>.
  • 14 Deliver <05337> me out of the mire <02916>, and let me not
  • sink <02883>: let me be delivered <05337> from them that hate
  • <08130> me, and out of the deep <04615> waters <04325>.
  • 15 Let not the waterflood overflow <07857> me, neither <0408>
  • let the deep <04688> swallow <01104> me up, and let not the pit
  • <0875> shut <0332> her mouth <06310> upon me.
  • 16 Hear <06030> me, O LORD <03068>; for thy lovingkindness
  • <02617> [is] good <02896>: turn <06437> unto me according to the
  • multitude <07230> of thy tender mercies <07356>.
  • 17 And hide <05641> not thy face <06440> from thy servant
  • <05650>; for I am in trouble <06887>: hear <06030> me speedily
  • <04118>.
  • 18 Draw nigh <07126> unto my soul <05315>, [and] redeem
  • <01350> it: deliver <06299> me because <04616> of mine enemies
  • <0341>.
  • 19 Thou hast known <03045> my reproach <02781>, and my shame
  • <01322>, and my dishonour <03639>: mine adversaries <06887>
  • [are] all <03605> before <06440> thee.
  • 20 Reproach <02781> hath broken <07665> my heart <03820>; and
  • I am full of heaviness <05136>: and I looked <06960> [for some]
  • to take pity <05110>, but [there was] none <0369>; and for
  • comforters <05162>, but I found <04672> none <03808>.
  • 21 They gave <05414> me also gall <07219> for my meat <01267>;
  • and in my thirst <06772> they gave me vinegar <02558> to drink
  • <08248>.
  • 22. Let their table <07979> become <01961> a snare <06341>
  • before <06440> them: and [that which should have been] for
  • [their] welfare <07965>, [let it become] a trap <04170>.
  • 23 Let their eyes <05869> be darkened <02821>, that they see
  • <07200> not; and make their loins <04975> continually <08548> to
  • shake <04571>.
  • 24 Pour <08210> out thine indignation <02195> upon them, and
  • let thy wrathful <02740> anger <0639> take <05381> hold <05381>
  • of them.
  • 25 Let their habitation <02918> be desolate <08074>; [and] let
  • none <0408> dwell <03427> in their tents <0168>.
  • 26 For they persecute <07291> [him] whom <0834> thou hast
  • smitten <05221>; and they talk <05608> to the grief <04341> of
  • those whom thou hast wounded <02491>.
  • 27 Add <05414> iniquity <05771> unto their iniquity <05771>:
  • and let them not come <0935> into thy righteousness <06666>.
  • 28 Let them be blotted <04229> out of the book <05612> of the
  • living <02416>, and not be written <03789> with the righteous
  • <06662>.
  • 29 But I [am] poor <06041> and sorrowful <03510>: let thy
  • salvation <03444>, O God <0430>, set me up on high <07682>.
  • 30. I will praise <01984> the name <08034> of God <0430> with a
  • song <07892>, and will magnify <01431> him with thanksgiving
  • <08426>.
  • 31 [This] also shall please <03190> the LORD <03068> better
  • <03190> than an ox <07794> [or] bullock <06499> that hath horns
  • <07160> and hoofs <06536>.
  • 32 The humble <06041> shall see <07200> [this, and] be glad
  • <08056>: and your heart <03824> shall live <02421> that seek
  • <01875> God <0430>.
  • 33 For the LORD <03068> heareth <08085> the poor <034>, and
  • despiseth <0959> not his prisoners <0615>.
  • 34 Let the heaven <08064> and earth <0776> praise <01984> him,
  • the seas <03220>, and every <03605> thing that moveth <07430>
  • therein.
  • 35 For God <0430> will save <03467> Zion <06726>, and will
  • build <01129> the cities <05892> of Judah <03063>: that they may
  • dwell <03427> there, and have it in possession <03423>.
  • 36 The seed <02233> also of his servants <05650> shall inherit
  • <05157> it: and they that love <0157> his name <08034> shall
  • dwell <07931> therein.
  • Psalms 70
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329>, [A Psalm] of David <01732>,
  • to bring to remembrance <02142>. [Make haste], O God <0430>, to
  • deliver <05337> me; make haste <02363> to help <05833> me, O
  • LORD <03068>.
  • 2 Let them be ashamed <0954> and confounded <02659> that seek
  • <01245> after my soul <05315>: let them be turned <05472>
  • backward <0268>, and put to confusion <03637>, that desire
  • <02655> my hurt <07451>.
  • 3 Let them be turned <07725> back <07725> for a reward <06118>
  • of their shame <01322> that say <0559>, Aha <0253>, aha <0253>.
  • 4 Let all <03605> those that seek <01245> thee rejoice <07797>
  • and be glad <08056> in thee: and let such as love <0157> thy
  • salvation <03444> say <0559> continually <08548>, Let God <0430>
  • be magnified <01431>.
  • 5 But I [am] poor <06041> and needy <034>: make haste <02363>
  • unto me, O God <0430>: thou [art] my help <05828> and my
  • deliverer <06403>; O LORD <03068>, make no <0408> tarrying
  • <0309>.
  • Psalms 71
  • 1. In thee, O LORD <03068>, do I put my trust <02620>: let
  • <03381> me never be put to confusion <0954>.
  • 2 Deliver <05337> me in thy righteousness <06666>, and cause
  • me to escape <06403>: incline <05186> thine ear <0241> unto me,
  • and save <03467> me.
  • 3 Be thou my strong <06697> habitation <04583>, whereunto I
  • may continually <08548> resort <0935>: thou hast given
  • commandment <06680> to save <03467> me; for thou [art] my rock
  • <05553> and my fortress <04686>.
  • 4 Deliver <06403> me, O my God <0430>, out of the hand <03027>
  • of the wicked <07563>, out of the hand <03709> of the
  • unrighteous <05765> and cruel <02556> man.
  • 5 For thou [art] my hope <08615>, O Lord <0136> GOD <03069>:
  • [thou art] my trust <04004> from my youth <05271>.
  • 6 By thee have I been <01961> holden <05564> up from the womb
  • <0990>: thou art he that took <01491> me out of my mother's
  • <0517> bowels <04578>: my praise <08416> [shall be] continually
  • <08548> of thee.
  • 7 I am as a wonder <04159> unto many <07227>; but thou [art]
  • my strong <05797> refuge <04268>.
  • 8 Let my mouth <06310> be filled <04390> [with] thy praise
  • <08416> [and with] thy honour <08597> all <03605> the day
  • <03117>.
  • 9 Cast <07993> me not off in the time <06256> of old <02209>
  • age; forsake <05800> me not when my strength <03581> faileth
  • <03615>.
  • 10 For mine enemies <0341> speak <0559> against me; and they
  • that lay wait <08104> for my soul <05315> take counsel <03289>
  • together <03162>,
  • 11 Saying <0559>, God <0430> hath forsaken <05800> him:
  • persecute <07291> and take <08610> him; for [there is] none

  • 12 O God <0430>, be not far <07368> from me: O my God <0430>,

  • 13 Let them be confounded <0954> [and] consumed <03615> that

  • <05844> [with] reproach <02781> and dishonour <03639> that seek

  • 14. But I will hope <03176> continually <08548>, and will yet

  • 15 My mouth <06310> shall shew <05608> forth thy righteousness
  • <06666> [and] thy salvation <08668> all <03605> the day <03117>;
  • for I know <03045> not the numbers <05615> [thereof].
  • 16 I will go <0935> in the strength <01369> of the Lord <0136>
  • GOD <03069>: I will make mention <02142> of thy righteousness
  • <06666>, [even] of thine only <0905>.
  • 17 O God <0430>, thou hast taught <03925> me from my youth
  • <05271>: and hitherto <02008> have I declared <05046> thy
  • wondrous <06381> works.
  • 18 Now also <01571> when <05704> I am old <02209> and

  • generation <01755>, [and] thy power <01369> to every <03605> one
  • [that] is to come <0935>.
  • 19 Thy righteousness <06666> also, O God <0430>, [is] very
  • <05704> high <04791>, who <0834> hast done <06213> great <01419>
  • things: O God <0430>, who <04310> [is] like <03644> unto thee!
  • 20 [Thou], which <0834> hast shewed <07200> me great <07229>
  • and sore <07451> troubles <06869>, shalt quicken <02421> me
  • again <07725>, and shalt bring <05927> me up again <07725> from

  • 21 Thou shalt increase <07235> my greatness <01420>, and

  • 22 I will also <01571> praise <03034> thee with the psaltery
  • <03627>, [even] thy truth <0571>, O my God <0430>: unto thee
  • will I sing <02167> with the harp <03658>, O thou Holy <06918>
  • One of Israel <03478>.
  • 23 My lips <08193> shall greatly rejoice <07442> when <03588>
  • I sing <02167> unto thee; and my soul <05315>, which <0834> thou

  • 24 My tongue <03956> also <01571> shall talk <01897> of thy

  • 2. He shall judge <01777> thy people <05971> with righteousness
  • <06664>, and thy poor <06041> with judgment <04941>.
  • 3 The mountains <02022> shall bring <05375> peace <07965> to
  • the people <05971>, and the little hills <01389>, by
  • righteousness <06666>.
  • 4 He shall judge <08199> the poor <06041> of the people
  • <05971>, he shall save <03467> the children <01121> of the needy
  • <034>, and shall break <01792> in pieces the oppressor <06231>.
  • 5 They shall fear <03372> thee as long <05973> as the sun
  • <08121> and moon <03394> endure <06440>, throughout all
  • generations <01755>.
  • 6 He shall come <03381> down <03381> like rain <04306> upon
  • the mown <01488> grass: as showers <07241> [that] water <02222>
  • the earth <0776>.
  • 7 In his days <03117> shall the righteous <06662> flourish
  • <06524>; and abundance <07230> of peace <07965> so <05704> long
  • <05704> as the moon <03394> endureth <01097>.
  • 8 He shall have dominion <07287> also from sea <03220> to sea
  • <03220>, and from the river <05104> unto the ends <0657> of the

  • 9 They that dwell in the wilderness <06728> shall bow <03766>
  • before <06440> him; and his enemies <0341> shall lick <03897>
  • the dust <06083>.
  • 10 The kings <04428> of Tarshish <08659> and of the isles
  • <0339> shall bring <07725> presents <04503>: the kings <04428>
  • of Sheba <07614> and Seba <05434> shall offer <07126> gifts
  • <0814>.
  • 11 Yea, all <03605> kings <04428> shall fall <07812> down

  • 13 He shall spare <02347> the poor <01800> and needy <034>,

  • <05186>; my steps <0838> had well <0369> nigh <04952> slipped
  • <08210>.
  • 3 For I was envious <07065> at the foolish <01984>, [when] I
  • saw <07200> the prosperity <07965> of the wicked <07563>.
  • 4 For [there are] no <0369> bands <02784> in their death
  • <04194>: but their strength <0193> [is] firm <01277>.
  • 5 They [are] not in trouble <05999> [as other] men <0582>;
  • neither <03808> are they plagued <05060> like <05973> [other]
  • men <0120>.
  • 6 Therefore pride <01346> compasseth <06059> them about as a
  • chain <06059>; violence <02555> covereth <05848> them [as] a
  • garment <07897>.
  • 7 Their eyes <05869> stand <03318> out with fatness <02459>:
  • they have more <05674> than heart <03824> could wish <04906>.
  • 8 They are corrupt <04167>, and speak <01696> wickedly <07451>
  • [concerning] oppression <06233>: they speak <01696> loftily
  • <04791>.
  • 9 They set <08371> their mouth <06310> against the heavens
  • <08064>, and their tongue <03956> walketh <01980> through the
  • earth <0776>.
  • 10 Therefore <03651> his people <05971> return <07725> hither
  • <01988>: and waters <04325> of a full <04392> [cup] are wrung
  • <04680> out to them.
  • 11 And they say <0559>, How <0349> doth God <04010> know
  • <03045>? and is there knowledge <01844> in the most <05945> High
  • <05945>?
  • 12 Behold <02009>, these <0428> [are] the ungodly <07563>, who
  • <04310> prosper <07951> in the world <05769>; they increase
  • <07685> [in] riches <02428>.
  • 13 Verily <0389> I have cleansed <02135> my heart <03824> [in]
  • vain <07385>, and washed <07364> my hands <03709> in innocency
  • <05356>.
  • 14 For all <03605> the day <03117> long have I been <01961>
  • plagued <05060>, and chastened <08433> every morning <01242>.
  • 15. If <0518> I say <0559>, I will speak <05608> thus <03644>;
  • behold <02009>, I should offend <0898> [against] the generation
  • <01755> of thy children <01121>.
  • 16 When I thought <02803> to know <03045> this <02063>, it
  • [was] too painful <05999> for me;
  • 17 Until <05704> I went <0935> into <0413> the sanctuary
  • <04720> of God <0410>; [then] understood <0995> I their end
  • <0319>.
  • 18 Surely <0389> thou didst set <07896> them in slippery
  • <02513> places: thou castedst <05307> them down <05307> into
  • destruction <04876>.
  • 19 How <0349> are they [brought] into desolation <08047>, as
  • in a moment <07281>! they are utterly consumed <08552> with
  • terrors <01091>.
  • 20 As a dream <02472> when [one] awaketh <06974>; [so], O Lord
  • <0136>, when thou awakest <05782>, thou shalt despise <0959>
  • their image <06754>.
  • 21. Thus <03588> my heart <03824> was grieved <02556>, and I
  • was pricked <08150> in my reins <03629>.
  • 22 So foolish <01198> [was] I, and ignorant: I was [as] a
  • beast <0929> before <05973> thee.
  • 23 Nevertheless I [am] continually <08548> with thee: thou
  • hast holden <0270> [me] by my right <03225> hand <03027>.
  • 24 Thou shalt guide <05148> me with thy counsel <06098>, and
  • afterward <0310> receive <03947> me [to] glory <03519>.
  • 25 Whom <04310> have I in heaven <08064> [but thee]? and
  • [there is] none <03808> upon earth <0776> [that] I desire
  • <02654> beside <05973> thee.
  • 26 My flesh <07607> and my heart <03824> faileth <03615>:
  • [but] God <0430> [is] the strength <06697> of my heart <03824>,
  • and my portion <02506> for ever <05769>.
  • 27 For, lo <02005>, they that are far <07369> from thee shall
  • perish <06>: thou hast destroyed <06789> all <03605> them that
  • go a whoring <02181> from thee.
  • 28 But [it is] good <02896> for me to draw near <07132> to God
  • <0430>: I have put <07896> my trust <04268> in the Lord <0136>
  • GOD <03069>, that I may declare <05608> all <03605> thy works
  • <04399>.
  • Psalms 74
  • 1. Maschil <07919> of Asaph <0623>. O God <0430>, why <04100>
  • hast thou cast <02186> [us] off for ever <05331>? [why] doth
  • thine anger <0639> smoke <06225> against the sheep <06629> of
  • thy pasture <04830>?
  • 2 Remember <02142> thy congregation <05712>, [which] thou hast
  • purchased <07069> of old <06924>; the rod <07626> of thine
  • inheritance <05159>, [which] thou hast redeemed <01350>; this
  • <02088> mount <02022> Zion <06726>, wherein thou hast dwelt
  • <07931>.
  • 3 Lift <07311> up thy feet <06471> unto the perpetual <05331>
  • desolations <04876>; [even] all <03605> [that] the enemy <0341>
  • hath done wickedly <07489> in the sanctuary <06944>.
  • 4 Thine enemies <06887> roar <07580> in the midst <07130> of
  • thy congregations <04150>; they set <07760> up their ensigns
  • <0226> [for] signs <0226>.
  • 5 [A man] was famous <03045> according as he had lifted <0935>
  • up axes <07134> upon the thick <05441> trees <06086>.
  • 6 But now <06258> they break <01986> down the carved <06603>
  • work <06603> thereof at <03162> once with axes <03781> and
  • hammers <03597>.
  • 7 They have cast <07971> fire <0784> into thy sanctuary
  • <04720>, they have defiled <02490> [by casting down] the
  • dwelling <04908> place of thy name <08034> to the ground <0776>.
  • 8 They said <0559> in their hearts <03820>, Let us destroy
  • <03238> them together <03162>: they have burned <08313> up all
  • <03605> the synagogues <04150> of God <0410> in the land <0776>.
  • 9 We see <07200> not our signs <0226>: [there is] no <0369>
  • more <05750> any prophet <05030>: neither <03808> [is there]
  • among <0854> us any that knoweth <03045> how <05704> long
  • <05704>.
  • 10 O God <0430>, how <05704> long <05704> shall the adversary
  • <06862> reproach <02778>? shall the enemy <0341> blaspheme
  • <05006> thy name <08034> for ever <05331>?
  • 11 Why <04100> withdrawest <07725> thou thy hand <03027>, even
  • thy right <03225> hand <03225>? pluck <03615> [it] out of thy
  • bosom <02436>.
  • 12. For God <0430> [is] my King <04428> of old <06924>, working
  • <06466> salvation <03444> in the midst <07130> of the earth
  • <0776>.
  • 13 Thou didst divide <06565> the sea <03220> by thy strength
  • <05797>: thou brakest <07665> the heads <07218> of the dragons
  • <08577> in the waters <04325>.
  • 14 Thou brakest <07533> the heads <07218> of leviathan <03882>
  • in pieces, [and] gavest <05414> him [to be] meat <03978> to the
  • people <05971> inhabiting <06728> the wilderness <06728>.
  • 15 Thou didst cleave <01234> the fountain <04599> and the
  • flood <05158>: thou driedst <03001> up mighty <0386> rivers
  • <05104>.
  • 16 The day <03117> [is] thine, the night <03915> also <0637>
  • [is] thine: thou hast prepared <03559> the light <03974> and the
  • sun <08121>.
  • 17 Thou hast set <05324> all <03605> the borders <01367> of
  • the earth <0776>: thou hast made <03335> summer <07019> and
  • winter <02779>.
  • 18. Remember <02142> this <02063>, [that] the enemy <0341> hath
  • reproached <02778>, O LORD <03068>, and [that] the foolish
  • <05036> people <05971> have blasphemed <05006> thy name <08034>.
  • 19 O deliver <05414> not the soul <05315> of thy turtledove
  • <08449> unto the multitude <02416> [of the wicked]: forget
  • <07911> not the congregation <02416> of thy poor <06041> for
  • ever <05331>.
  • 20 Have respect <05027> unto the covenant <01285>: for the
  • dark <04285> places of the earth <0776> are full <04390> of the
  • habitations <04999> of cruelty <02555>.
  • 21 O let not the oppressed <01790> return <07725> ashamed
  • <03637>: let the poor <06041> and needy <034> praise <01984> thy
  • name <08034>.
  • 22 Arise <06965>, O God <0430>, plead <07378> thine own cause
  • <07379>: remember <02142> how the foolish <05036> man
  • reproacheth <02781> thee daily.
  • 23 Forget <07911> not the voice <06963> of thine enemies
  • <06887>: the tumult <07588> of those that rise <06965> up
  • against thee increaseth <05927> continually <08548>.
  • Psalms 75
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329>, Altaschith <0408> <07843>, A
  • Psalm <04210> [or] Song <07892> of Asaph <0623>. Unto thee, O
  • God <0430>, do <06213> we give thanks <03034>, [unto thee] do
  • <06213> we give thanks <03034>: for [that] thy name <08034> is
  • near <07138> thy wondrous <06381> works declare <05608>.
  • 2 When <03588> I shall receive <03947> the congregation
  • <04150> I will judge <08199> uprightly <04339>.
  • 3 The earth <0776> and all <03605> the inhabitants <03427>
  • thereof are dissolved <04127>: I bear <08505> up the pillars
  • <05982> of it. Selah <05542>.
  • 4 I said <0559> unto the fools <01984>, Deal not foolishly
  • <01984>: and to the wicked <07563>, Lift <07311> not up the horn
  • <07161>:
  • 5 Lift <07311> not up your horn <07161> on high <04791>: speak
  • <01696> [not with] a stiff <06277> neck <06677>.
  • 6. For promotion <07311> [cometh] neither <03808> from the east
  • <04161>, nor from the west <04628>, nor from the south <04057>.
  • 7 But God <0430> [is] the judge <08199>: he putteth <08213>
  • down <08231> one, and setteth <07311> up another <02088>.
  • 8 For in the hand <03027> of the LORD <03068> [there is] a cup
  • <03563>, and the wine <03196> is red <02560>; it is full <04392>
  • of mixture <04538>; and he poureth <05064> out of the same
  • <02088>: but the dregs <08105> thereof, all <03605> the wicked
  • <07563> of the earth <0776> shall wring <04680> [them] out,
  • [and] drink <08354> [them].
  • 9 But I will declare <05046> for ever <05769>; I will sing
  • praises to the God <0430> of Jacob <03290>.
  • 10 All <03605> the horns <07161> of the wicked <07563> also
  • will I cut <01438> off; [but] the horns <07161> of the righteous
  • <06662> shall be exalted <07311>.
  • Psalms 76
  • 1. To the chief Musician <05329> on Neginoth <05058>, A Psalm
  • <04210> [or] Song <07892> of Asaph <0623>. In Judah <03063> [is]
  • God <0430> known <03045>: his name <08034> [is] great <01419> in
  • Israel <03478>.
  • 2 In Salem <08004> also is his tabernacle <05520>, and his
  • dwelling <04585> place in Zion <06726>.
  • 3 There <08033> brake <07665> he the arrows <07565> of the bow
  • <07198>, the shield <04043>, and the sword <02719>, and the
  • battle <04421>. Selah <05542>.
  • 4 Thou [art] more glorious <0215> [and] excellent <0117> than
  • the mountains <02042> of prey <02964>.
  • 5 The stouthearted are spoiled <07997>, they have slept
  • <05123> their sleep <08142>: and none <03808> of the men <0582>
  • of might <02428> have found <04672> their hands <03027>.
  • 6 At thy rebuke <01606>, O God <0430> of Jacob <03290>, both
  • the chariot <07393> and horse <05483> are cast <07290> into a
  • dead sleep <07290>.
  • 7. Thou, [even] thou, [art] to be feared <03372>: and who
  • <04310> may stand <05975> in thy sight <06440> when once <0227>
  • thou art angry <0639>?
  • 8 Thou didst cause judgment <01779> to be heard <08085> from
  • heaven <08064>; the earth <0776> feared <03372>, and was still
  • <08252>,
  • 9 When God <0430> arose <06965> to judgment <04941>, to save
  • <03467> all <03605> the meek <06035> of the earth <0776>. Selah
  • <05542>.
  • 10 Surely <03588> the wrath <02534> of man <0120> shall praise
  • <03034> thee: the remainder <07611> of wrath <02534> shalt thou
  • restrain <02296>.
