2 Corinthians 5 ==========
:1 For we know 1492 -eido that if 1437 -ean our earthly
1919 -epigeios house 3614 -oikia of [this 3588 -ho ] tabernacle
4636 -skenos were dissolved 2647 -kataluo , we have 2192 -echo a
building 3619 -oikodome of God 2316 -theos , an house 3614 -
oikia not made 0886 -acheiropoietos with hands 0886 -
acheiropoietos , eternal 0166 -aionios in the heavens 3772 -
ouranos .
:2 For in this 5129 -toutoi we groan 4727 -stenazo ,
earnestly 1971 -epipotheo desiring 1971 -epipotheo to be clothed
1902 -ependuomai upon with our house 3613 -oiketerion which 3588
-ho is from heaven 3772 -ouranos :
:3 If 1489 -eige so be that being clothed 1746 -enduo we
shall not be found 2147 -heurisko naked 1131 -gumnos .
:4 For we that are in [this 3588 -ho ] tabernacle 4636 -
skenos do groan 4727 -stenazo , being burdened 0916 -bareo : not
for that we would 2309 -thelo be unclothed 1562 -ekduo , but
clothed 1902 -ependuomai upon, that mortality 2349 -thnetos
might be swallowed 2666 -katapino up of life 2222 -zoe .
:5 Now 1161 -de he that hath wrought 2716 -katergazomai us
for the selfsame 5124 -touto thing [is] God 2316 -theos , who
3588 -ho also 2532 -kai hath given 1325 -didomi unto us the
earnest 0728 -arrhabon of the Spirit 4151 -pneuma .
:6 Therefore 3767 -oun [we are] always 3842 -pantote
confident 2292 -tharrheo , knowing 1492 -eido that, whilst we
are at 1722 -en home 1736 -endemeo in the body 4983 -soma , we
are absent 0553 -apekdechomai from the Lord 2962 -kurios :
:7 (For we walk 4043 -peripateo by faith 4102 -pistis ,
not by sight 1491 -eidos :)
:8 We are confident 2292 -tharrheo , [I say], and willing
2106 -eudokeo rather 3123 -mallon to be absent 0553 -
apekdechomai from the body 4983 -soma , and to be present 1736 -
endemeo with the Lord 2962 -kurios .
:9 Wherefore 1352 -dio we labour 5389 -philotimeomai ,
that, whether 1535 -eite present 1736 -endemeo or 1535 -eite
absent 0553 -apekdechomai , we may be accepted 2101 -euarestos
of him.
:10 For we must 1163 -dei all 3956 -pas appear 5319 -
phaneroo before 1715 -emprosthen the judgment 0968 -bema seat
0968 -bema of Christ 5547 -Christos ; that every 1538 -hekastos
one may receive 2865 -komizo the things [done] in [his] body
4983 -soma , according 4314 -pros to that he hath done 4238 -
prasso , whether 1535 -eite [it be] good 0018 -agathos or 1535 -
eite bad 2556 -kakos .
:11 Knowing 1492 -eido therefore 3767 -oun the terror 5401
-phobos of the Lord 2962 -kurios , we persuade 3982 -peitho men
0444 -anthropos ; but we are made 5319 -phaneroo manifest 5319 -
phaneroo unto God 2316 -theos ; and I trust 1679 -elpizo also
2532 -kai are made 5319 -phaneroo manifest 5319 -phaneroo in
your 5216 -humon consciences 4893 -suneidesis .
:12 For we commend 4921 -sunistao not ourselves 1438 -
heautou again 3825 -palin unto you, but give 1325 -didomi you
occasion 0874 -aphorme to glory 2745 -kauchema on 5228 -huper
our behalf 5228 -huper , that ye may have 2192 -echo somewhat to
[answer] them which glory 2744 -kauchaomai in appearance 4383 -
prosopon , and not in heart 2588 -kardia .
:13 For whether 1535 -eite we be beside 1839 -existemi
ourselves, [it is] to God 2316 -theos : or 1535 -eite whether
1535 -eite we be sober 4993 -sophroneo , [it is] for your 5213 -
humin cause.
:14 For the love 0026 -agape of Christ 5547 -Christos
constraineth 4912 -sunecho us; because we thus 5124 -touto judge
2919 -krino , that if 1487 -ei one 1520 -heis died 0599 -
apothnesko for all 3956 -pas , then 0686 -ara were all 3956 -pas
dead 0599 -apothnesko :
:15 And [that] he died 0599 -apothnesko for all 3956 -pas ,
that they which live 2198 -zao should not henceforth 3371 -
meketi live 2198 -zao unto themselves 1438 -heautou , but unto
him which died 0599 -apothnesko for them, and rose 1453 -egeiro
again 1453 -egeiro .
:16 Wherefore 5620 -hoste henceforth 3568 -nun know 1492 -
eido we no 3762 -oudeis man 3762 -oudeis after 2596 -kata the
flesh 4561 -sarx : yea 1161 -de , though 1499 -ei kai we have
known 1097 -ginosko Christ 5547 -Christos after 2596 -kata the
flesh 4561 -sarx , yet 0235 -alla now 3568 -nun henceforth 2089 -
eti know 1097 -ginosko we [him] no 3765 -ouketi more 2089 -eti .
:17 Therefore 5620 -hoste if 1487 -ei any 1536 -ei tis man
[be] in Christ 5547 -Christos , [he is] a new 2537 -kainos
creature 2937 -ktisis : old 0744 -archaios things are passed
3928 -parerchomai away; behold 2400 -idou , all 3956 -pas things
are become 1096 -ginomai new 2537 -kainos .
:18 And all 3956 -pas things [are] of God 2316 -theos ,
who 3588 -ho hath reconciled 2644 -katallasso us to himself 1438
-heautou by Jesus 2424 -Iesous Christ 5547 -Christos , and hath
given 1325 -didomi to us the ministry 1248 -diakonia of
reconciliation 2643 -katallage ;
:19 To wit 5613 -hos , that God 2316 -theos was in Christ
5547 -Christos , reconciling 2644 -katallasso the world 2889 -
kosmos unto himself 1438 -heautou , not imputing 3049 -logizomai
their trespasses 3900 -paraptoma unto them; and hath committed
5087 -tithemi unto us the word 3056 -logos of reconciliation
2643 -katallage .
:20 Now then we are ambassadors 4243 -presbeuo for Christ
5547 -Christos , as though God 2316 -theos did beseech 3870 -
parakaleo [you] by us: we pray 1189 -deomai [you] in Christ's
5547 -Christos stead 5228 -huper , be ye reconciled 2644 -
katallasso to God 2316 -theos .
:21 For he hath made 4160 -poieo him [to be] sin 0266 -
hamartia for us, who knew 1097 -ginosko no 3361 -me sin 0266 -
hamartia ; that we might be made 1096 -ginomai the righteousness
1343 -dikaiosune of God 2316 -theos in him.
