DANIEL CHAPTER 4

DAN 4:1 Nebuchadnezzar the king, unto all people, nations, and

languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto

you. <g all> <g dwell> <g earth> <g king> <g languages> <g

multiplied> <g nations> <g nebuchadnezzar> <g peace> <g people>

DAN 4:2 I thought it good to show the signs and wonders that the

high God hath wrought toward me. <g god> <g good> <g hath> <g

high> <g show> <g signs> <g thought> <g toward> <g wonders> <g

wrought>

DAN 4:3 How great [are] his signs! and how mighty [are] his

wonders! his kingdom [ is] an everlasting kingdom, and his

dominion [is] from generation to generation. <g are> <g

dominion> <g everlasting> <g generation> <g great> <g how> <g

kingdom> <g mighty> <g signs> <g wonders>

DAN 4:4 I Nebuchadnezzar was at rest in mine house, and

flourishing in my palace: <g flourishing> <g house> <g mine> <g

nebuchadnezzar> <g palace> <g rest>

DAN 4:5 I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts

upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me. <g afraid>

<g bed> <g dream> <g head> <g made> <g saw> <g thoughts> <g

troubled> <g visions> <g which>

DAN 4:6 Therefore made I a decree to bring in all the wise [men]

of Babylon before me, that they might make known unto me the

interpretation of the dream. <g all> <g babylon> <g before> <g

bring> <g decree> <g dream> <g interpretation> <g known> <g

made> <g make> <g men> <g might> <g therefore> <g wise>

DAN 4:7 Then came in the magicians, the astrologers, the

Chaldeans, and the soothsayers:and I told the dream before them;

but they did not make known unto me the interpretation thereof.

<g astrologers> <g before> <g came> <g chaldeans> <g did> <g

dream> <g interpretation> <g known> <g magicians> <g make> <g

soothsayers> <g then> <g thereof> <g told>

DAN 4:8 But at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name

[was] Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom

[is] the spirit of the holy gods: and before him I told the

dream, [saying] , <g before> <g belteshazzar> <g came> <g

daniel> <g dream> <g god> <g gods> <g him> <g holy> <g last> <g

name> <g saying> <g spirit> <g told> <g whom> <g whose>

DAN 4:9 O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know

that the spirit of the holy gods [is] in thee, and no secret

troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen,

 and the interpretation thereof. <g because> <g belteshazzar> <g

dream> <g gods> <g have> <g holy> <g interpretation> <g know> <g

magicians> <g master> <g no> <g secret> <g seen> <g spirit> <g

tell> <g thereof> <g troubleth> <g visions>

DAN 4:10 Thus [were] the visions of mine head in my bed; I saw,

and behold, a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height

thereof [was] great. <g bed> <g behold> <g earth> <g great> <g

head> <g height> <g midst> <g mine> <g saw> <g thereof> <g thus>

<g tree> <g visions>

DAN 4:11 The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof

reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the

earth:<g all> <g earth> <g end> <g grew> <g heaven> <g height>

<g reached> <g sight> <g strong> <g thereof> <g tree>

DAN 4:12 The leaves thereof [were] fair, and the fruit thereof

much, and in it [ was] meat for all:the beasts of the field had

shadow under it, and the fowls of the heaven dwelt in the boughs

thereof, and all flesh was fed of it. <g all> <g beasts> <g

boughs> <g dwelt> <g fair> <g fed> <g field> <g flesh> <g fowls>

<g fruit> <g had> <g heaven> <g leaves> <g meat> <g much> <g

shadow> <g thereof> <g under>

DAN 4:13 I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and,

behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven; <g bed>

<g behold> <g came> <g down> <g head> <g heaven> <g holy> <g

one> <g saw> <g visions> <g watcher>

DAN 4:14 He cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree, and

cut off his branches, shake off his leaves, and scatter his

fruit:let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from

his branches:<g aloud> <g away> <g beasts> <g branches> <g

cried> <g cut> <g down> <g fowls> <g fruit> <g get> <g hew> <g

leaves> <g let> <g off> <g said> <g scatter> <g shake> <g thus>

<g tree> <g under>

DAN 4:15 Nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth,

even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the

field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and [let] his

portion [be] with the beasts in the grass of the earth:<g band>

<g beasts> <g brass> <g dew> <g earth> <g even> <g field> <g

grass> <g heaven> <g iron> <g leave> <g let> <g nevertheless> <g

portion> <g roots> <g stump> <g tender> <g wet> <g with>

DAN 4:16 Let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's

heart be given unto him:and let seven times pass over him. <g

changed> <g given> <g heart> <g him> <g let> <g over> <g pass>

<g seven> <g times>

DAN 4:17 This matter [is] by the decree of the watchers, and the

demand by the word of the holy ones:to the intent that the

living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men,

and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the

basest of men. <g basest> <g decree> <g demand> <g giveth> <g

high> <g holy> <g intent> <g kingdom> <g know> <g living> <g

matter> <g may> <g men> <g most> <g ones> <g over> <g ruleth> <g

setteth> <g this> <g watchers> <g whomsoever> <g will> <g word>

DAN 4:18 This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O

Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as

all the wise [men] of my kingdom are not able to make known unto

me the interpretation:but thou [art] able; for the spirit of the

holy gods [is] in thee. <g all> <g are> <g art> <g belteshazzar>

<g declare> <g dream> <g forasmuch> <g gods> <g have> <g holy>

<g interpretation> <g king> <g kingdom> <g known> <g make> <g

men> <g nebuchadnezzar> <g now> <g seen> <g spirit> <g thereof>

<g this> <g wise>

DAN 4:19 Then Daniel, whose name [was] Belteshazzar, was

astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king

spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the

interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and

said, My lord, the dream [be] to them that hate thee, and the

interpretation thereof to thine enemies. <g answered> <g

astonied> <g belteshazzar> <g daniel> <g dream> <g enemies> <g

hate> <g him> <g hour> <g interpretation> <g king> <g let> <g

lord> <g name> <g one> <g or> <g said> <g spake> <g then> <g

thereof> <g thine> <g thoughts> <g trouble> <g troubled> <g

DAN 4:20 The tree that thou sawest, which grew, and was strong,

whose height reached unto the heaven, and the sight thereof to

all the earth; <g all> <g earth> <g grew> <g heaven> <g height>

<g reached> <g sawest> <g sight> <g strong> <g thereof> <g tree>

<g which> <g whose>

DAN 4:21 Whose leaves [were] fair, and the fruit thereof much,

and in it [was] meat for all; under which the beasts of the

field dwelt, and upon whose branches the fowls of the heaven had

their habitation:<g all> <g beasts> <g branches> <g dwelt> <g

fair> <g field> <g fowls> <g fruit> <g habitation> <g had> <g

heaven> <g leaves> <g meat> <g much> <g thereof> <g under> <g

which> <g whose>

DAN 4:22 It [is] thou, O king, that art grown and become strong:

for thy greatness is grown, and reacheth unto heaven, and thy

dominion to the end of the earth. <g art> <g become> <g

dominion> <g earth> <g end> <g greatness> <g grown> <g heaven>

<g king> <g reacheth> <g strong>

DAN 4:23 And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one

coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and

destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the

earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass

of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and

[let] his portion [be] with the beasts of the field, till seven

times pass over him; <g band> <g beasts> <g brass> <g coming> <g

destroy> <g dew> <g down> <g earth> <g even> <g field> <g grass>

<g heaven> <g hew> <g him> <g holy> <g iron> <g king> <g leave>

<g let> <g one> <g over> <g pass> <g portion> <g roots> <g saw>

<g saying> <g seven> <g stump> <g tender> <g thereof> <g till>

<g times> <g tree> <g watcher> <g wet> <g whereas> <g with> <g

yet>

DAN 4:24 This [is] the interpretation, O king, and this [is] the

decree of the most High, which is come upon my lord the king:<g

come> <g decree> <g high> <g interpretation> <g king> <g lord>

<g most> <g this> <g which>

DAN 4:25 That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling

shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee

to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of

heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know

that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it

to whomsoever he will. <g beasts> <g dew> <g drive> <g dwelling>

<g eat> <g field> <g giveth> <g grass> <g heaven> <g high> <g

kingdom> <g know> <g make> <g men> <g most> <g over> <g oxen> <g

pass> <g ruleth> <g seven> <g till> <g times> <g wet> <g

whomsoever> <g will> <g with>

DAN 4:26 And whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the

tree roots; thy kingdom shall be sure unto thee, after that thou

shalt have known that the heavens do rule. <g after> <g

commanded> <g do> <g have> <g heavens> <g kingdom> <g known> <g

leave> <g roots> <g rule> <g stump> <g sure> <g tree> <g whereas>

DAN 4:27 Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto

thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine

iniquities by showing mercy to the poor; if it may be a

lengthening of thy tranquillity. <g break> <g counsel> <g

iniquities> <g king> <g lengthening> <g let> <g may> <g mercy>

<g off> <g poor> <g righteousness> <g showing> <g sins> <g

thine> <g tranquillity> <g wherefore>

DAN 4:28 All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar. <g all> <g

came> <g king> <g nebuchadnezzar> <g this>

DAN 4:29 At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of

the kingdom of Babylon. <g babylon> <g end> <g kingdom> <g

months> <g palace> <g twelve> <g walked>

DAN 4:30 The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon,

that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of

my power, and for the honour of my majesty? <g babylon> <g

built> <g great> <g have> <g honour> <g house> <g king> <g

kingdom> <g majesty> <g might> <g power> <g said> <g spake> <g

this>

DAN 4:31 While the word [was] in the king's mouth, there fell a

voice from heaven, [saying] , O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it

is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. <g departed> <g

fell> <g heaven> <g king> <g kingdom> <g mouth> <g

nebuchadnezzar> <g saying> <g spoken> <g there> <g voice> <g

while> <g word>

DAN 4:32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling

[shall be] with the beasts of the field:they shall make thee to

eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until

thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and

giveth it to whomsoever he will. <g beasts> <g drive> <g

dwelling> <g eat> <g field> <g giveth> <g grass> <g high> <g

kingdom> <g know> <g make> <g men> <g most> <g over> <g oxen> <g

pass> <g ruleth> <g seven> <g times> <g until> <g whomsoever> <g

will> <g with>

DAN 4:33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon

Nebuchadnezzar:and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as

oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his

hairs were grown like eagles' [feathers] , and his nails like

birds' [claws] . <g body> <g claws> <g dew> <g did> <g driven>

<g eat> <g feathers> <g fulfilled> <g grass> <g grown> <g hairs>

<g heaven> <g hour> <g like> <g men> <g nails> <g

nebuchadnezzar> <g oxen> <g same> <g thing> <g till> <g wet> <g

with>

DAN 4:34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up

mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me,

and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that

liveth for ever, whose dominion [is] an everlasting dominion,

and his kingdom [is] from generation to generation: <g blessed>

<g days> <g dominion> <g end> <g ever> <g everlasting> <g eyes>

<g generation> <g heaven> <g high> <g him> <g honoured> <g

kingdom> <g lifted> <g liveth> <g mine> <g most> <g

nebuchadnezzar> <g praised> <g returned> <g understanding> <g

whose>

DAN 4:35 And all the inhabitants of the earth [are] reputed as

nothing:and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven,

and [among] the inhabitants of the earth:and none can stay his

hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? <g all> <g among> <g

are> <g army> <g can> <g doest> <g doeth> <g earth> <g hand> <g

heaven> <g him> <g inhabitants> <g none> <g nothing> <g or> <g

reputed> <g say> <g stay> <g what> <g will>

DAN 4:36 At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for

the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned

unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I

was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added

unto me. <g brightness> <g counsellors> <g established> <g

excellent> <g glory> <g honour> <g kingdom> <g lords> <g

majesty> <g mine> <g reason> <g returned> <g same> <g sought> <g

time>

DAN 4:37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the

King of heaven, all whose works [are] truth, and his ways

judgment:and those that walk in pride he is able to abase. <g

all> <g are> <g extol> <g heaven> <g honour> <g judgment> <g

king> <g nebuchadnezzar> <g now> <g praise> <g pride> <g those>

<g truth> <g walk> <g ways> <g whose> <g works>
