chaldeans <DAN1 -:4 > Children in whom [was] no blemish, but

well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in

knowledge, and understanding science, and such as [had] ability

in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach

the learning and the tongue of the {Chaldeans}.

chaldeans <DAN2 -:2 > Then the king commanded to call the

magicians, and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the

{Chaldeans}, for to show the king his dreams. So they came and

stood before the king.

chaldeans <DAN2 -:4 > Then spake the {Chaldeans} to the king in

Syriack, O king, live for ever: tell thy servants the dream, and

we will show the interpretation.

chaldeans <DAN2 -:5 > The king answered and said to the

{Chaldeans}, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make

known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye

shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.

chaldeans <DAN2 -:10 > The {Chaldeans} answered before the king,

and said, There is not a man upon the earth that can show the

king's matter: therefore [there is] no king, lord, nor ruler,

[that] asked such things at any magician, or astrologer, or

Chaldean.

chaldeans <DAN3 -:8 > Wherefore at that time certain {Chaldeans}

came near, and accused the Jews.

chaldeans <DAN4 -:7 > Then came in the magicians, the

astrologers, the {Chaldeans}, and the soothsayers: and I told

the dream before them; but they did not make known unto me the

interpretation thereof.

chaldeans <DAN5 -:7 > The king cried aloud to bring in the

astrologers, the {Chaldeans}, and the soothsayers. [And] the

king spake, and said to the wise [men] of Babylon, Whosoever

shall read this writing, and show me the interpretation thereof,

shall be clothed with scarlet, and [have] a chain of gold about

his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.

chaldeans <DAN5 -:11 > There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom

[is] the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father

light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods,

was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the

king, [I say], thy father, made master of the magicians,

astrologers, {Chaldeans}, [and] soothsayers;

chaldeans <DAN5 -:30 > In that night was Belshazzar the king of

the {Chaldeans} slain.

chaldeans <DAN9 -:1 > In the first year of Darius the son of

Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over

the realm of the {Chaldeans};
