chaldeans <DAN1 -:4 > Children in whom [was] no blemish, but


  • well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in
  • knowledge, and understanding science, and such as [had] ability
  • in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach
  • the learning and the tongue of the {Chaldeans}.
  • chaldeans <DAN2 -:2 > Then the king commanded to call the
  • magicians, and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the
  • {Chaldeans}, for to show the king his dreams. So they came and
  • stood before the king.
  • chaldeans <DAN2 -:4 > Then spake the {Chaldeans} to the king in
  • Syriack, O king, live for ever: tell thy servants the dream, and
  • we will show the interpretation.

  • shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.

  • and said, There is not a man upon the earth that can show the
  • king's matter: therefore [there is] no king, lord, nor ruler,
  • [that] asked such things at any magician, or astrologer, or
  • Chaldean.
  • chaldeans <DAN3 -:8 > Wherefore at that time certain {Chaldeans}
  • came near, and accused the Jews.
  • chaldeans <DAN4 -:7 > Then came in the magicians, the
  • astrologers, the {Chaldeans}, and the soothsayers: and I told
  • the dream before them; but they did not make known unto me the
  • interpretation thereof.
  • chaldeans <DAN5 -:7 > The king cried aloud to bring in the
  • astrologers, the {Chaldeans}, and the soothsayers. [And] the
  • king spake, and said to the wise [men] of Babylon, Whosoever
  • shall read this writing, and show me the interpretation thereof,
  • shall be clothed with scarlet, and [have] a chain of gold about
  • his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.

  • [is] the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father
  • light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods,
  • was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the
  • king, [I say], thy father, made master of the magicians,
  • astrologers, {Chaldeans}, [and] soothsayers;
  • chaldeans <DAN5 -:30 > In that night was Belshazzar the king of
  • the {Chaldeans} slain.
