that this house which I have built is called by thy name.

{name} spread abroad [even] to the entering in of Egypt; for he

strengthened [himself] exceedingly.

cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot

arrows and great stones withal. And his {name} spread far abroad;

for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong.

{nations} of [other] lands have not delivered their people out

of mine hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver his

people out of mine hand.

Jerusalem, and presents to Hezekiah king of Judah: so that he

was magnified in the sight of all {nations} from thenceforth.

the cause was of God, that the LORD might perform his word,

which he spake by the hand of Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam

the son of {Nebat}.

Solomon the son of David, is risen up, and hath rebelled against

his lord.

Nebuchadnezzar 2CH 36 06 Against him came up {Nebuchadnezzar}

king of Babylon, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to

vessels of the house of the LORD to Babylon, and put them in his

goodly vessels of the house of the LORD, and made Zedekiah his

brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.

Charchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.

Necho 2CH 35 22 Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from

him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and

hearkened not unto the words of {Necho} from the mouth of God,

and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.

Necho 2CH 36 04 And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother

king over Judah and Jerusalem, and turned his name to Jehoiakim.

And {Necho} took Jehoahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt.

who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his {neck}, and

[it is] written in the law in the book of Moses, where the LORD

commanded, saying, The fathers shall not die for the children,

{neither} shall the children die for the fathers, but every man

shall die for his own sin.

neither 2CH 26 18 And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said

unto him, [It appertaineth] not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn

incense unto the LORD, but to the priests the sons of Aaron,

that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary;

for thou hast trespassed; {neither} [shall it be] for thine

honour from the LORD God.

neither 2CH 30 03 For they could not keep it at that time,

because the priests had not sanctified themselves sufficiently,

{neither} had the people gathered themselves together to

Jerusalem.

neither 2CH 32 15 Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you,

nor persuade you on this manner, {neither} yet believe him: for

no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people

out of mine hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much

Neither 2CH 33 08 {Neither} will I any more remove the foot of

Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your

fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have

commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and

the ordinances by the hand of Moses.

of the LORD, and walked in the ways of David his father, and

declined [{neither}] to the right hand, nor to the left.

of the countries.

next 2CH 28 07 And Zichri, a mighty man of Ephraim, slew

Maaseiah the king's son, and Azrikam the governor of the house,

and Elkanah [that was] {next} to the king.

the dedicated [things] faithfully: over which Cononiah the

Now 2CH 29 31 Then Hezekiah answered and said, {Now} ye have

consecrated yourselves unto the LORD, come near and bring

sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of the LORD. And

the congregation brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and

as many as were of a free heart burnt offerings.

Now 2CH 30 08 {Now} be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers [were,

but] yield yourselves unto the LORD, and enter into his

sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD

your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from

you.

Now 2CH 31 01 {Now} when all this was finished, all Israel that

were present went out to the cities of Judah, and brake the

images in pieces, and cut down the groves, and threw down the

high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, in

Ephraim also and Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed them

all. Then all the children of Israel returned, every man to his

possession, into their own cities.

persuade you on this manner, neither yet believe him: for no god

of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of

mine hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less

shall your God deliver you out of mine hand?

goodness, behold, they [are] written in the vision of Isaiah the

prophet, the son of Amoz, [and] in the book of the kings of

of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the

entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and

raised it up a very great height, and put captains of war in all

the fenced cities of Judah.

prayer unto his God, and the words of the seers that spake to

him in the name of the LORD God of Israel, behold, they [are

written] in the book of the kings of Israel.

had purged the land, and the house, he sent Shaphan the son of

Azaliah, and Maaseiah the governor of the city, and Joah the son

of Joahaz the recorder, to repair the house of the LORD his God.

) hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not.
