[even] him and his nurse, in the bedchamber from Athaliah, so

that he was not slain.

driving of {Jehu} the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.

went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against {Jehu},

and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.

at the going up to Gur, which [is] by Ibleam. And he fled to

Search, and look that there be here with you none of the

servants of the LORD, but the worshippers of Baal only.

burnt offerings, {Jehu} appointed fourscore men without, and

said, [If] any of the men whom I have brought into your hands

escape, [he that letteth him go], his life [shall be] for the

life of him.

end of offering the burnt offering, that {Jehu} said to the

guard and to the captains, Go in, [and] slay them; let none come

forth. And they smote them with the edge of the sword; and the

guard and the captains cast [them] out, and went to the city of

the house of Baal.

Samaria, [and reigned] twenty years.

king of Israel began Jotham the son of Uzziah king of {Judah} to

reign.

{Judah} Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.

upper chamber of Ahaz, which the kings of {Judah} had made, and

the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the

house of the LORD, did the king beat down, and brake [them] down

from thence, and cast the dust of them into the brook Kidron.

man of God, which came from {Judah}, and proclaimed these things

that thou hast done against the altar of Bethel.

Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words

of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the

priest found in the house of the LORD.

away out of their land.

Shaphan, ruler.
